| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/6/2006 6:17:38 PM | How did you choose your nickname? Do you think it describes you and if so how?
This is something I have always been curious about ever since I started getting online over 12 years ago. Where do people come up with these names? This could be fun!
I am not that imaginative. Tootsie is my nickname my family has been calling me my whole life.

Yep, it describes me. My glass is always full. I am more than an optimist. I like just being alive.

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/6/2006 7:27:04 PM | StrayCat
Cus my initials are S.C. and cus I used to ride a Harley Chopper back in the day when that song Stray Cat Strut was popular. So biker buds started calling me Stray. It kindof fit back then:
"Ain't got enough dough to pay the rent, I'm flat broke but I don't care, I strut right by with my tail in the air,
I don't bother chasing mice around, I slink down the alley looking for a fight, Howlin' to the moon light on a hot summer night,

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/6/2006 8:03:01 PM | I picked TTICKER,because I use to be known as the Great White Hope until I fought ALI ,he showed me what Thunder meant and then I had to fight Joe Frazier ,he cleaned my clock so I use T for Thunder and Ticker for my clock....Not really, I use TTICKER to remind me my heart needs to tick for me to live..Yeap,had one of those Heart Attacks so TTicker I thought would be better than Ticker alone....
LISA,glad to have you along. OUR TICKERS must be strong. TEN Years ago NOV 17th one day after MY BD mine almost stopped....But,we'll keep Clicking and Ticking..The World would not be so good without ya,so hang in...

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/6/2006 9:04:41 PM | Years ago when my Mother was living we both had CB radio's, my handle (name) was moonglow and her's was Calamity Jane, the reason I choose Moonglow is because I stayed up ti 3 to 5am talking on it and listening to the skip rolling in from other countries, and glow because the moon glows at night's. moonglow | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/6/2006 9:22:28 PM | Ahh... Moonglow... I was wondering when the first post would show up related to CB handles. I remember. Most truckers still use CBs . I make "handles" for them everyday to put on their trucks.
My first mother-in-law's handle was Granny Leadfoot......self explanatory and she had the speeding tickets to prove it.

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/6/2006 9:24:00 PM | Rhinos started in Afghanistan. We were the recon troop, a bunch of FO's mixed with cav and infantry scouts. Our call sign on the radio started out as R troop. Romeo is the military phonetic for R but Romeo troop didn't set well with our platoon commander so he put out that from then on we would be Rhino troop on the radio.
He would always sign off his radio with "Rhinos Charge"
Later he was killed in Iraq so the name is kind of a shout out to him.

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/7/2006 9:14:37 AM | Oh mine was simple. Once I crossed the Red River from Oklahoma into Texas, the rain stopped, the clouds parted and the big star, I know as God...lit up the blue, blue sky before me. "Welcome to Texas", he said. "I made it a sunny place for you to live and love, while I prepare you an ever greater one".
Oh and my real name means "glorious sunrise".

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/7/2006 9:34:33 AM | Mine i_dreamofu2, meaning that I know he is out there somewhere, under the same stars that blanket us at night. Possibly even gazing at the same star, and dreaming of the day we two will be together. I would like to think he dreams of me. | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 11/7/2006 10:04:32 AM | | I write. Mostly short stories and poetry and as a teller of tales Scheherrazade seemed appropriate. I usually do not have to worry about someone else using it since its not easy to type or spell. | |
