Holiday Party at Kerry's Sports Pub for POF! 3520 N. Rancho, (at Gowan) LV NV 89130. Phone # 645-8844. Kerry, the owner, has agreed to provide a light dinner buffet for FREE!!!. You have to buy your own drinks as it is a "Cash or No Host Bar". The time of the event is 6-10 p.m. The date is Sunday, December 10th, 2006. Go Casual! No need to dress up as it is a Sunday and a sports bar, lol.

I have been to several parties here and the facility holds about 300 people. The events are always great! Plus for those wanting to see sports and the football game that night, he has big screen TV's everywhere.

A suggestion was made for everyone that attends to bring a canned food item to donate to a local food bank. The holiday's are a tough time for many people, especially those that are economically strapped. What a nice effort to help those in need too. The local food bank will pick up can food donations after the party.

Children account for about 45% of all food program recipients.
Seniors make up abut 20% of food program recipients.
The working poor comprises another 25%
Individuals in shelters, treatment programs, rehabilitation centers, group homes and the homeless are included in this profile.

(Community Food Bank is a 22 year old organization dedicated to alleviating the effects of hunger related poverty. Food is gathered and distributed to other charitable groups who feed the ill, the needy and infants. All donations are greatly needed and deeply appreciated)
1. People we can help locally with canned food:
2. Today the hungry person is the child who goes to school each day having gone to be hungry because there was no food in the house. He may be the child of a single parent whose income does not cover the cost of shelter, transportation and food. Given the choice, food is sacrificed.
3. The hungry person may exist in a household where parents are working but under employed, either in minimum wage or less than full time positions. Everyday living expenses take what money is earned, and it becomes necessary to purchase less food.
4. Senior on fixed income often see most of their money going to cover the high cost of medications and they too try to live on less food.
5. Families in unexpected situations, such as illness, death, or a accident which takes away or reduces sources of household income. Faced with these situations where reduced income is sudden, food is again the last item on the list to be addressed.

True Passion will be playing music and singing the songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000 for our Holiday Party celebration on Dec. 10, 2006 at Kerry's Sport Pub. They are great entertainers with a "Personal Touch" of friendliness and commeraderie. Joe Rae Stewart can sing anything from Martina McBride to the song from the movie, Titanic. Bob Stewart is a distant cousin of Rod Stewart so does an excellent impersonation aling with singing his own "True Passion" of music. They will definitely add to the festivities for the evening.

New News! Drink tickets have been purchased by one of our attendees and will be giving them out on a first come basis until they are gone! Now that's "a festive cheer" in itself and a great reason to stop in at 6:00 p.m.

Looks like the party will be a blast. Plenty of parking but I would suggest you plan on being there early for the food, gifts and drink tiks as it will all go fast. The entertainers are wonderful. Thank you again Findchris for securing them. Hope to see all you "Fish" at the event!

Looks like our numbers are climbing and many are getting there early for the food, gifts and entertainment. Again, getting there early is the best bet in getting a great parking spot, LOL.
