| Why do most guys NOT SMILE in there pix??

Seriously... are ya'll trying to look tough, macho, what?? Is it a Chandler syndrome thing, and you CAN'T smile for the camera? Some of you look downright mean, scowling out behind pinched eyebrows. (That's IF your face is close enough TOO see, and not completely shadowed)
Not attacking anyone... just curious to know why men don't 'put their best face forward' on here. | |

I can't answer for the other guys but I have never like to have my photo taken. I don't feel at ease having it done. I do the photo because I want the people to know the persons face behind the words being said. If my photo gives the impression of meanness it is not intended. I by no means am that way. I am only that way when pushed to the breaking point and am either in a protection mode or self defense mode. Either way gawd help the one I am doing either with. For at that time I am all out, out for to do bloodwork. I am almost always in a good mood and happy go lucky. main goal in life is to be happy and maybe make other feel good or make them happy. Oh and you have a lovely smile in your photos. | |

Like some where knocked out, i felt bad for the guy but i wish i knew before we went out, not that i'm superficial...but i love a nice smile in a partner. Posted: 3/27/2005 5:35:58 PM | I don't smile in pictures that I take myself, because I feel like I am being "fake" by forcing a smile. My smile isn't nearly as "pretty" if I force it as opposed to smiling naturally.
My girlfriend took some pictures of me the last time I went to see her. When she tried to take one, I wouldn't smile until she made me laugh.
The great thing is usually it's very easy to make me laugh/smile. I just hate feeling like it's forced. | |

Posted: 3/28/2005 7:42:43 PM | I've noticed that, too. a surly growling man talking about his good sense of humor. Taking your own picture you feel smiling is fake? You don't smile for yourself? Think of someone you can smile to, pretend they are in the camera.

Or even just a subtle smile, being silly, or a nice portrait. Show some teeth dudes! I don't know about the other chicks but smiles are sexier than a grim expression like he's 'too cool' to smile or whatever. | |
