Posted: 11/12/2006 6:40:06 PM | Well as you have read I am the newest member of this club having joined it today lol. A lot of my friends here have been members for a little while and have given me advice so hopefully it helps me over the next 10 years lol 
I am new to this club so Im not sure what happens here and Id like you to help me out. Do I still get hooter shooters? lol I am sure it will be fun though lol
Who is going to initiate me and how will you do it? lol
Whether you know me or not Id like to hear from ya here as I think us 30 somethings need a place here on POF

Posted: 11/12/2006 6:50:49 PM | Hey J Happy birthday bud and just like to say welcome to NOT your Carlsburg years but more like your "Better than your 20s" years. Yeah you'll see the obvious physical changes (ie grey hair, harder to lose pds, etc) but what I have liked in my 30s is just that HEY it's more fun! 
I've gained more freedom, more sure of myself, realize that I'm not getting any younger so it's best to party like it's 1999 every weekend  I find more respect among people in general now that I'm older. Probably the best thing I've encountered in my 30s is that I think I am learning a lot more about life, rather than just flippantly pretending to think I know about it. 
Anyways my advice to you...enjoy telling people you are thirty, because with age there is grace.

Well im startign to go grey and blading already so the aging process is starting but i appreciate the advice as I am sure it will help me while im a part of this great club here!
Im probably gonna slow it down on the partying as I could of made the Raxx party but decided to rest lol. When I do party like next week Ill party hard lol
I still got some growing up to do and well I know some of the cooties are members here so please feel free to set me straight if you need to ladies lmao 
Im looking forward to this time of my life and for now to get to know some of the people here in their 30's whether you know me or not!
If I wanted to meet a special lady in the 30-39 age bracket any suggestions on where I can go in the big city of Toronto here and other areas?
POF parties have been great so far but was curious as to where a 30 yr old guy like me should be hanging to get the milfs i mean chicks I mean beautiful ladies lol  | |

And about last night's game, the Habs couldn't stay out of the damn penalty box so they deserved to lose....yes you heard if here first Jay, I actually said they deserved to lose to the damn Leafs!!!
Junior members have to do whatever the senior members ask of them, get out the tutu and be ready to suck up to a few of the older ones Jay. Oh wait my ex hubby is 5 years younger than me and he didn't do what he was told either but then again, he's sitting at the curb now. | |

Realizations, confirmations, learning, teaching...its been great....
some seem to get to a point in their lives where it all becomes clear so to speak....
its been great and I've been enjoying them immensly :)

Now, we know what Shappy thinks, here's my take on the 30's...
Like the prof up there, 30 was a huge shock to me. I LOVE my birthday. I always have. I've often been heard telling people that I think my birthday should be a national holiday, I love it that much!
But 30? I hid. I stayed in the house all day. I talked to no one that day. I was sad, depressed, and feeling really, really down on myself.
I was 30! And there were so many things I'd always wanted to do with my life before I hit the big 3-0, and I hadn't done them!
And so, I took that one day to mourn and whine and cry....And then I got over it.
I'll be 32 next month, and I love my birthday again!
I wonder how 40 will feel?
