A WOMAN who was murdered by her jealous husband on their farm may have been fed to pigs.
No trace of Tina Baker has ever been found but her estranged husband Martin was yesterday found guilty of the murder.
Jurors heard how Tina, 41, had earlier told cops that Baker, 54, had threatened to: “Cut you up and feed you to the pigs.”
Tina vanished in July 2002 and at first it seemed like a missing person’s case.
But the Old Bailey heard greedy Baker was caught out because he applied for a sole owner reduction in council tax for their home in Chobham, Surrey, just nine days after Tina had disappeared.
He falsely claimed she had stolen £5,000 from him — but he had withdrawn the cash from a bank. And he tried to fake car papers to look like she had bought a BMW.
Baker will be sentenced later. Cops hope he may now reveal what happened to Tina. | |

Posted: 11/15/2006 9:02:42 AM | On Canada's West coast, near Vancouver, a local pig farmer named Willy Pickton fed several women's bodies to his pigs. His victims were mostly prostitutes from the bad part of town. Police finally called in archaeologists to sift through the soil of his acreage to gather bits and pieces of bone and teeth for DNA analysis.
I believe 26 victims were identified, with several more probably but un-proven. The case is still before the courts. | |

Posted: 8/16/2007 9:13:37 AM | Hmm, I always wonder when somebody is found guilty of murder with no physical evidence. The constabulary should have been out in pig lot sifting around for bone and teeth fragments. Pigs cant digest everything and nobody is going to be able to find and get rid of all the bits that werent digested by the pigs. Otherwise its always possible the guy just had a stupid or lazy lawyer defending him.
As to pigs eating humans, they sure will. I grew up on farm in Iowa. Occasional stories of some farmer having a heart attack and getting eaten by the hogs. Whole new meaning to the term 'makin bacon'. | |

Posted: 8/17/2007 9:04:56 AM | The Picton farm murders have been a fiasco since the word "go". they found evidence that the missing women were there. they asked the neighbours for any frozen meat that the farmer may have given to them...they think some of the bodies had been ground up and mixed with ground pork. Whatever happened, it seems that a few people were not only aware of what was going on, but actually saw bodies...and did nothing.

I've heard they 'fill' some livestock feed with ground up car tires.
And then they wonder why we have stuff like mad cow disease, foot & mouth, mutating viruses, etc.

Posted: 8/17/2007 9:17:37 PM | Actually, pigs can't digest the teeth, but as far as I know (I've been around pigs all my life on the farm) can crunch up and digest every other part of a body of any animal, including humans.
I would be quite surprised, though, if DNA could survive the digestive tract of a pig unless it was inside a tooth root. Rescue dogs can find even "bones" that are years and years old, and old teeth donated from dentists are frequently used to train rescue dogs to search for bodies. I know a lady that has a rescue dog that "found" a man's body under 15 feet of water in the ARkansas river.
People will go to great lengths to destroy a body of a victim or hide it, but they usually slip up in some way or other and eventually get caught. Feeding a body to pigs or other carnavors would probably be as "good" a way as any, but not perfect of course. I am glad that while CSI is not yet realistic for most crimes, the majority of murders are solved eventually. DNA sure helps. | |

I am surprised more people do not know this. Why do you think the mob leaves their dead bodies in Indiana cornfields??? Hoping the pigs eat the evidence. Feral Pigs have now reached a population of over 2 million in the USA alone. | |

Umm...I think, though, mfrotyl, that that is the reason why we/they (I'm an atheist) do not allow the consumption of pork - it also used to have a very high chance of causing some kind of food poisoning.
Same with shellfish - being that us yids are practically addicted to them (I'm not, hate seafood and have an allergy), we probably were one of the first peoples to find out how bad botulism could get :P
Anyway, personally, if they have no proof of a body...they don't have murder. They certainly have him on fraud, though. | |

They will not even eat hay that has been walked on, though if you plant a new shrub, flower, etc., they are sure you put it there especially for them. However, were you to follow a chicken around for a day, yo'd probably never eat eggs again, never mind chicken! | |
