Oh crap, dude! I didn't think anyone remembered that stuff! I was scrolling down thinking I'm gonna post Kimba and no one would have a clue what I meant, LOL.
You pretty much got it covered. Speed Racer, Kimba, The Bugaloos and HR Puffnstuff were my favorites.
Don't forget The Jetsons and The Flintsones.
I was also really into Mighty Mouse, Underdog, Secret Squirrel, Felix the Cat, Gumby and the all time big daddy of them all...........
The Thunderbirds! | |

| Cartoons you loved as a kid...and still do! Posted: 3/28/2005 7:50:22 PM | Thunderbirds rocked!
Honorable Mentions to:
Banana Splits Huckleberry Hound Shazam Seaquest 2020
They stole a lot of plotline from Kimba the White Lion for Disney's The Lion King.
Kimba is now out on DVD. You can even download the opening sequence from a fan site somewhere off the internet!

Each of the 5 people transfored into a different colored bird, and their jet transformed into a phhenix. What was interesting is how all the stories were narrated by the R2-D2 lookalike, who was never actualy in any of the stories.
I loved the intro to Gummi bears, not the show so much tho.
I ALWAYS watched the Smurfs. Transformers as well, at least unntil they started adding too many to keep track of. uhmmm.....anyone else remember Thundercats?

That's all i can think of. I know if my brother were here he'd be smacking me and telling me all the ones I missed. We were major cartoon and sugary ceral junkies on the weekends. Even when we got older we'd still have weekend pajama parties to watch old cartoons and get hopped up on sugar.

| Cartoons you saw as a kid... Posted: 3/29/2005 10:51:33 AM | It's wierd, does anyone know when the cartoons turned into commercials for candy or toys?
Watching them now is like....ever see Demolition man? How everone sings 'Oldies' but they are all commercial jingles? Creepy.
I don't think 'Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse' could hold a kid's attention nowadays.
