Posted: 11/18/2006 8:47:11 PM | So I see these so called super gaming systems are slowly hittin the store shelves again this year. But I noticed everyone thats being purchased is then listed on ebay for sale!
Now thats funny for sure. As if their such a gotta have gaming system then why buy it and then turn around and sell it !!
But if anyone is thinking on they gotta get one I will say wait till after crhistmas as then you will get one any place and alot cheaper !
And I had the chance to see one of these in action and their not that much better then the ps2 . Only great new feature is a bigger hard drive on board and purtty colored case.
So who's rushing out for one of theses?? Or is this one item you must have or is it not worth the money??? | |

What happened? Well, Sony decided to tell the retailers two days prior to launch date that OOPS, we won't be sending out quite as many as we thought.
In our case we presold two and were sent two....one 60 and one 20. The guy who got the 60 was happy but the other guy wanted a refund and also a written reason why he didn't get it. I finally got him to tell me why ----- he sold it on ebay and has to prove it wasn't his fault he didn't get the system to sell it. I had absolutely no pity for the jerk and told him he had no right to sell something he didn't even have yet. I hope he loses his ebay account===the jerk.
For those who actually want to buy one to USE instead of sell......Sony is sending another shipment in two weeks and another two weeks later. Don't know yet if they will be 60's or 20's but hopefully some people will buy them for actual Christmas presents as opposed to a way to pad their wallets.
Tomorrow is the launch for the Wii system by Nintento. At least retailers are getting enough of them...well maybe not enough but a lot.
fyi: xbox 360's are really arriving in large numbers in the stores if you want one of them. | |

Do you remember the Cabbage Patch doll, frenzy, about 25 years ago. People were paying $500 for them, and flying to other countries to buy them. Shoppers can be pretty crazy around Christmas time. | |

Oh I forgot to ad PS2 's can be upgraded by a computer shop as all you do is change the harddrives inside.LOL

Well ebay is demanding a cash registry reciept be with all these ps3's & all of these for sale must have a picture of the system in their possession or they are baned from selling .
And at last report from ebay every PS3 sold to date is now on ebay for sale !
So I think theres a few guys out there that love to lie alot even on tv !LOL
And lets see as by the specs on these new ps3's they upgraded the hard drives/added a 128 bit video driver card/ new case& controller design.
So as for me thats still not even close to what I can do with my computer games and not as smooth as a computer either . But hey I guess some are tryin to make a fast buck !LOL
I was laughing when they showed the guys in toronto smashing one of these brand new PS3's with a sledge hammer !Ouch what a waste of money !! | |

Once again they brought out a next gen system without enough game titles for the darn thing. Not only that....but this is only a 20 gig drive...the next production line to come out is 60 gig (which is what many will be really reaching for). Price is waaaaay too high for something like that...wait a few years for it to drop. Tickled pink that he got one. He was at the very end. What was really neat about the whole thing? The people in line overnite all supported and helped each other. They shared chairs, heat, sleepin bags. They even hooked up into the store's outlets and had laptops to play games. They brought each other coffee and warm food. A construction site was there so they had a port o potty! While I wouldn't do this, I think the boys will have some great memories. Tis amazing how kind and sharing folks can be at times. He is now in the hot shower to warm up the frozen bones! lol. And he is so darned proud that he finally got his game. Paid for it himself too! lol | |

Well I am a gamer also but I am a computer gamer and we use alot of high end games that need more then what any gaming consol can deliever ! And you can't beat us computer gamers on war games online if your only running a game consol thats not super fast like a computer.!LMAO
As for them PS3's well lets just say could be another stupid line up soon . And I wonder who many will end up again on Ebay !
And ontario woman you'll find theres more games for the Wii available right now also .

i build my own pc's, i know whats makes them work and how to build a super pc, and i would luuuuuuuuuuuuuurve a processor like the ps3 has that would fit onto a pc socket 775 motherboard. theyre custom made with 7, yes 7, cores. intels fastest processor only has 2 cores | |

AMD is preping their 4x4's and will soon be making cpu history with their new power chip.
I've allready upgraded my board and I am waiting for them new AMD's to be available as I have ordered one direct from AMD when their ready for sale. They are gona be faster then anything that intel can make and will cost half the price also. Oh word of note about the ps3's and that is their sure are running a 7 core cpu but its not that fast and yes it has &will over heat in that new under vented box . And this has been a probblem since intel made these chips . So if yeah want a ps3 I hope you won't mind it over heating and shutting down mid game .And these 7 core chips are soldered into the socket and if you blow it up you have too send entire system back for repairs.And their over clocked to their max so don't expect to see them or try to make them run any faster or most likely they'll be toast.
Yes intel makes the ps systems and amd makes cpu's for xbox and the Wii for nintendo.
Lets explain these systems a little and you'll get why gamers are so wild about the ps3 .
Its the fastest of the gaming systems and so far has a great wireless controller.But very few games for this ps3 made. Ps3 prices >>$489 to You can't afford it prices!LMAO.
The new xbox will match the harddrive size but will run a slower cpu . Xbox will though be made with a top of the line maxed out video card by ATI . And this video card will have the fastest response times and better fill rates then any other systems for the gaming consol's.
XBox prices ranges from $379 to $689 .
Wii is gonna be the best for your money system as it will be not as fast as an xbox cpu speed wise. But it too will come with top of the line controllers for wireless fast action.
And even though it will not have a super big hard drive it will come internet ready with dsl live action for online gaming . And willl also be backwards compatable for the previous system it is replacing. Which means you can use your older games on it from your 2005 system. Wii prices will be around $299 to $399.
But I still don't want any game consol as their still just a computer wanta be toy.I 'll stick to the power with my Computers.
