| Looks and brains versus age Posted: 3/28/2005 7:33:34 PM | Is it more important to be of the the same age or close to it or that you are attracted to that person and what they have to offer physically and mentally. And...if age does not really matter...then why do we have it on profiles? What is acceptable for men and women to enjoy each other without the stigma or age? Just a question to start the discussion. | |

| Looks and brains versus age Posted: 3/28/2005 7:40:55 PM | Jeez, you're cute when you beg.
I have dated a guy 15 years older, but I wouldn't date someone 15 years younger, partly because I'd be arrested. But I do check ages on here...anyone under 27/28 usually doesn't do it for me...not based on age, just based on their profile, and being able to tell we are at different places in life. Anything under 25 is out of the question. Not even as a snack.
Did that help? | |

| Looks and brains versus age Posted: 3/28/2005 7:48:10 PM | Interesting....lol....is ok for 15 years older but not younger...wonders why?.....and should it be limited to 15?.....why not 20....or more or less if they look good or even better then you do....lmao....Oh..by the way...I am not begging.....does not beg....just discusses...but ty for asking.... | |

| Looks and brains versus age Posted: 3/28/2005 7:52:55 PM | Oh, I wouldn't say I'm limited to 15 years older, I'd go older, if we got along OK. Just not any younger...again, I don't think it's a matter of the age, as far as it is a difference in life experiences. Someone fresh out of college has a much different perspective on life than I do.
A man better looking than me??? Not possible. I'm adorable. And do you mind if I pretend you are begging?

| Looks and brains versus age Posted: 3/28/2005 8:33:31 PM | It's not a case of xx v. yy, I don't think that any important characteristics can be excluded in totality.
I sure don't want a relationship with someone whose looks appeal to me (that's different from beautiful/handsome btw) but who was dumber than a rock and 20 years different in age than me.
Conversely I am not about to form a relationship with someone just because they were compatible on an age basis with no regard for their 'look appeal' and their 'brains'.
As to how young is too young, that would depend on the individual - me, I had my firstborn at barely 18 so someone say 15 years younger than me is more the age of my kids than me. Consequently, I find I must stay within about 7 or 8 years younger than me. As to older than me, hmmm, any older than me you're looking at really, really old...lol.
