I was married to my ex for probably three years technically before I got around to making it legal. Seperate residances, the whole bit.
The only thing that remained between us was paperwork at the courthouse and a couple of kids. I've said this elsewhere.....to me a marriage is about the promise, not the paperwork...that would apply to a lover as well. I simply didn't have the 2 or 3K that a divorce would have cost me while I was raising two children.

She ended up staying four months before going home. All she wanted was sex cause she wasn't getting it at home. She was married to an elderly man that couldn't get it up and was too set in his ways to do anything else to please her. I guess it all depends on the person and the reason why she wanted just sex. Like everything else in life, there is always a reason, sometimes a good one and sometimes not so good one. | |

Many married women aren't active with their husbands. If they were, they wouldn't be looking for anything elsewhere. It is hell getting divorced and as NotAPandora said, also very expensive. Marriage is nothing more than a document, the real promise is in the heart. | |

I suppose I should add that I'm not talking about someone who posts in their profile that they want a divorce but can't afford it, or are married to someone who can't have sex with them.
Sad perhaps was too vague a term. Selfish and immoral might have been better. A saying; something to do with a cake, comes to mind. :P
Also, I understand that some people do not believe in the institution of marriage (in the traditional sense), so perhaps I should have entitled the topic "Women who have legally vowed monogamy in a committed relationship looking for sex". :P | |

I had a woman approach me who was married and was looking for something on the side. I said no. I inquired as to her reasons for this, not because I was considering it, but wanted to really know what circumstances led her down that path. The story was sad, but after she told me all the details, I guess I could sympathize with her somewhat, although I could also see other avenues that she could try.
Tell ya the truth, I'm just not looking for that . Call me what you will, but I deserve a better deal..... | |

I follow that word "Almost." Not all of us men can just go for meaningless, no-strings sex. Some of us need to feel an emotional connection to the woman and would prefer that she felt the same way. | |
