Posted: 11/24/2006 12:19:29 AM | So, I don't have a photo posted on my profile... I really don't want to for a couple reasons... First, I don't have any of me that are really recent.. All of them are pre-weight loss and also show me with facial hair that I don't have anymore on account of my job...
So.... guess my main question is... Is my profile good enough as is? Or should I add more about me in it?

That's it? The fact that your friend Alice said more about you than you even did, makes it even worse. You may be an open book, but it is filled with empty pages. No passions listed, no excitement, nothing romantic, nothing funny.....you can stop me at any time because I can go on and on here...
If this isn't bad enough, what little you did write, has many spelling errors (hint: especially in your first date section)
You really need to make more of a genuine effort. There are many profile tips available here that you should read first if you need a few ideas to get started. Only a couple or so paragraphs are needed, but they have to have insight as to who you are, and what makes your life desirable enough for a woman to be interested.
Above all, no pictures will pretty much seal your fate with no responses, even with a fantasic profile. There is much work for you to do. | |

thanks for the help...
As for the picture... I also don't really want to stick my picture up on here..... Like it says in the profile though, I'd send pictures, or direct you to wher eyou can see pictures so it's not like a huge mystery.. and it's not like I'm unwilling to share...
are there better ways of conveying that? | |

And realize, no getting around it, no pic of you is going to make you NOT stand out, even if you had a killer well written profile. Your choice.
Now get busy and when you're done with a thorough rewrite, post back here.  | |

OpenCountry, To_Woman and Bucsgirl - right on about the pics. I wasn't posting any because my experience with another site got me annoyed. The typical "people look at the pics, but don't read the profile." business. Anyway, after reading your kick in the a$$ on posting pics, I decided to cough a few up. Different site here, different people. Here's hoping for a better experience and if not, at least this site is free! | |
