how many dates in 2006? after my 6 mon. (serious) relationship with a fellow POfer that would be 20 approx. that includes coffee meetings too as mine last for 2-3 hours.
Friendships made after the dates 5 approx.
Relationships after the dates 0 and that's the way I like it.

2006 is a great year for me. No, not in the frequency of dates. See, I do not date. Dating for me is the most frustating experience, something that I avoid like hell. I look for friends, friends to do stuff with. If love blossoms, wonderful.
I started the year (January 1st, 12:30 A.M. give or take 10 minutes) in the arms of a wondeful lady, a dear friend. Sorry to say that that relation did not last very long, short of two months. No fault of hers...or mine, sometime life interferes with love.
Days following the above I posted that I was looking for a dance partner to learn tango. This wonderful lady answer my call, we met, a walk on the beach, a few Emails, our first tango lesson and...POW!!!! Fireworks!!!
We are still going stong. Salsa these days and much more.
2006. A great year, the best.

Dating implies some crushing pressure to lock lips with some veritable stranger; usually I will do just about everything to avoid one, cancelling and making an appointment with a dentist for a root canal instead, for example. If it's called something else like dinner or skydiving I have been known to be tricked into one. I'm gullible like that. | |
