gotta remember though, when riggs is on, he's hard to beat, dude used to fight at heavyweight, now he cuts to make 170lbs, that's some heavy heavy hands.

Has Riggs won a fight recently? He always seems to appear on UFC but I can' remember him winning for quite a while. I would have thought that they would have passed him over by now, but I guess because he is a good looking guy and his fights are typically all action affairs, they keep bringing him back.

Thats a pretty big differential... alot of weight to cut. Not necessarily the best way to go. Sure, you make a big middle weight or whatever, but you hurt yourself in alot of other ways when you depart so far from you natural weight.

Point. Cutting that much weight can kill one's cardio, as evidenced by, well, most of Riggs' fights. That said, Riggs looked different last time out. Like he'd actually lost some weight, or at least cut smarter.

Still and all, I don't think that'll be enough. Riggs'll get tired, Diego won't, it'll be Sanchez by choke in the second or third, for my money.

Personally, I'm looking forward more to Drew Fickett v Karo Parisyan.

Actually, I could've been a lot more Wrong. Riggs could have won by flying armbar in the third, for example. Still and all, about the best ending a fan could hope for with that fight. The Rockyesque double punches, followed by the running knee of doom. Ah, good stuff.

Karo looked good in his fight too. That doubling up on the Superman Punch in the first was sweet.

Josh "The Blanket" Koschek was his usual annoying self. For two rounds, he does nothing but eat the occasional punch, score the occasional takedown, come perilously close to getting swept every time he tries to do any damn thing at all, and almost get caught in subs at the end of R1 and R2. Then, he actually connects with a couple of shots in R3, and they give him the win. Yeesh, but I hate UFC judging. Takedowns shouldn't count for shit unless they actually lead somewhere worth going.

All in all, a decent card. Two worthwhile fights out of four.

I thought Jeff Joslin did a good job containing Koschek after all those takedowns but apparently that doesnt count for anything. If takedowns win a match then all fighters will end up just trying to take each other down and at the end of the match ,who ever has the most ....wins.
