| Bob Marley Posted: 12/17/2006 4:38:00 AM | | If Bob Marley was alive would his music STILL be as powerful, as it is today? What are your thoughts? | |

| Bob Marley Posted: 12/19/2006 3:35:26 PM | As Bob Marely is one of my favorite all time artists, I may be a little biased in my opinion but I'll offer it anyway.
I do believe that Marely's music would still very much be powerful, maybe even moreso than the body of work he left behind (that is of course not to say it wasn't brilliant and inspiring). To me personally I feel that Marley was a visionary, a revolutionary and a prophet and I do honestly feel that although his ideas may have changed (although not very much considering the basic Afrocentric ideas he did possess, and how they are creeping into mainstream ideas) the basic tenants of his music would have remained the same.
Marely stood for his people, and the oppressed worldwide, and since that struggle is not yet won, I do feel he would very much be involved in it and would still be committing himself to the betterment of those same people, and against the exemption of the oppressed through miseducation, disinformation and seemingly cultural genocide.

If it had turned out that way, I think the world would be a more positive place for sure. At least a little bit anyhow

| Bob Marley Posted: 12/4/2007 8:58:41 AM | | He would for sure, he had something that is rare... an ability to communicate through music in a way few can and that is still very much the case today, his music still sells in large numbers | |

| Bob Marley Posted: 9/16/2008 4:03:42 PM | | Bob Marley's voice, political influence, contributions to the world of music and the world at large would be just as enigmatic and prolific today as they were at his heyday. He is one of those timeless artists who defies time and death by remaining as recognizable, vibrant and pertinent after pasing as he was while living. And while the word has lost some luster and meaning, having been used too freely and frivolously, Bob Marley is a true icon! | |
