| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/9/2007 12:59:24 PM | | Hi! I think a get together if just to go out to eat or a movie would be great. A get together would allow the people that are truly sincere about meeting new people, etc. the opportunity to get from behind their computer monitors and mingle. | |
|
| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/9/2007 8:05:51 PM | | Now we've got it started! Come on fishes...jump into the pond. Let me know it ya wanna get together. | |

| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/15/2007 6:54:28 PM | How about a Sunday afternoon for starters? Depending on the number of people interested, some of the nice book stores have a place where we could sit down and have coffee. Or maybe we could pick out a restaurant that we could all agree on. If we could get a group that wanted to commit, maybe later we could set up a monthly meeting. I would even be game for a cover dish dinner to rotate between homes. (that is once we are comfortable with everyone) *** Just a couple suggestions | |
|
| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/17/2007 5:00:26 PM | | I think this is an awesome idea!!! Name the time and the place. | |

| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/23/2007 8:40:27 AM | It looks like we have interest here. Lets set a date, time, and a place. Open for suggestions. Would anyone be bringing a child? This also needs to be considered for our first meetinng. If that is the case we might look at McDonald's for a burger and the children could play while we all talk. Pullen Park in Raleigh is a nice place but it might be a bit cold depending on the weather. I like the dancing lessons. It would be nice if we could get a group together and we could plan outings as a group. "Let's get this party started" | |

| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/25/2007 8:09:44 PM | | I was thinking more of an adults gathering. I love kids, but I've raised mine and would enjoy getting to know other adults before we threw kids into the mix. I was thinking about a Sundat afternoon at like the Ale House. They have good food and there is lots of room and even pool tables. What do you all think? Hey you fishes....lots have looked at this thread...why not put your 2 cents in? | |

| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 1/31/2007 11:41:09 AM | Oh jeez, another Raleigh sausage fest....
Dreamie just go to one of the local military bases, you will have enough dates for the next 3 years, dont worry about "get togethers" | |

| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 2/1/2007 2:46:59 PM | Hey it would be a good idea i live about 45 minutes frmo raleigh a place called Pinehurst. But i lived in the south all my life and i was born in macon, GA. Let me tell you babe people are not friendlier in the south. Alot of racism and wanna be thugs are here. But in ralieigh it might be different. Where is the meet going to be at? Or am i one of those kids yall were talkin about? | |

| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 2/1/2007 2:51:12 PM | Sounds like a plan to me as long as that Trancer goober stays away. I'm really not into hanging out with pessimistic morons who get off on peeing on peoples thoughts and ideas. Every post I've seen by him has been negative. Guess who will still be single if he ever grows up?? Robert in Kinston parrotsummer on Yahoo Messenger | |
|
| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 2/1/2007 8:38:11 PM | | You should go ahead and pick a place and date. looks like you have enough interest and if the date is right I will try and make it up to raleigh myself for it. Food and pool tables..I can go for that mix..lol. | |

|
| Raleigh/Durham Area Posted: 2/9/2007 9:15:48 AM | I agree, there has been a lot of interest, but no one is taking the ball, so here goes. Lets do a casual meet & greet at the Ale House, Sunday Feb. 18th. They open at 11:00, so a tentative start time of around noon. RSVP me at mike_0465@yahoo.com if you'd like, not neccessary though.
