| Love and forever... HA! Posted: 8/3/2004 7:41:35 PM | Love and forever so rarely go together Some families multiply, but so many divide.. How can a love so strong, A love that should have withstood any storm Come crashing down, leaving emptiness where once the heart thrived.
When you looked at me, and called my name, Did you love me then? Was it all just a game? Or were you just telling me what I wanted to hear? Sentiments of love, and caring... all just words..none of them real A painful thought, but it seems quite clear
Your heart was not there, your love not true Despite the great love that I gave to you So goodbye to a love, that I gave everything for Goodbye to the heartache, and the pain I ignore Being in love taught me so many things but losing at love has taught me so much more..

| Re: Love and forever... HA! Posted: 8/3/2004 8:27:55 PM | I didn't catch poetry until hitting this site a couple of months ago. I just feel the inspiration, feel the beat and the words just come out like a sneeze.
Your poem is great, Holly. Bitter and biting. Lava and cold water. Pop rocks and Coke.
Good stuff. Keep 'em coming. | |

| Re: Love and forever... HA! Posted: 8/3/2004 10:21:12 PM | Back when I was going through a rough divorce I attended a retreat for widowed, divorced and separted people through my local church. They passed out healing poems and letter which one in particular caught my eye. It is called: Comes the Dawn After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul, and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security. And you begin to lean that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises. And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child. And learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground it too uncertain for plans, and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn that even sunshine Burns if you get too much. So plant your own garden and decorate Your own Soul, instead of waiting For someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure... That you really are strong. Ánd you really do have worth. And you learn and learn... with every goodbye you learn. Anonymous

| Re: Love and forever... HA! Posted: 8/4/2004 3:38:57 PM | These blue times they’ve drawn the shade All I loved that once was high To face the day without regret Is like bringing back the ones we’ve lost When you know damn well they’re gone
Faded roses, shattered vase Clock watch the waiting sands of time Out of the jagged rocks, I’ll always catch you in my arms But in the safe confines of home, its an empty twisted life
Did you forget your vows All the days before the charm This evil bed has turned to a nest of broken hearts
