| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 1:58:58 PM | To the ladies,
Do you ever have an ugly day when you just dont want to see your boyfriend or anyone else, its completely irrational and you probably don't look any different to usual, but you cant face going out cos you're convinced you look horrible.
Can any men understand this?
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:02:04 PM | | I think we all (women) have experienced those days - where you just should of stayed in bed and not spoken to anyone. Not sure if men exp. this? | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:02:35 PM | | Boy can I relate, I think it is when I am PMS ing, nothing looks right, my hair, makeup, clothes, ick....I call it my alone time and think it's healthy. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:07:31 PM | | But you drag yourself out anyway and have a good enough time but then when you see a mirror and see yourself in it you get into a foul humor and want to go home but cant explain it to anyone. You're just not looking 'right' | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:07:41 PM | I cannot say that I felt it specifically for me, per se... but when my ex wife was PMS'g, i think it might have rubbed off on me a little. People at work would ask if I was ok, that I looked like 10 pounds of poop in a 5 pound bag, etc.
Although I did start a word of my own that took off like a shot after I mentioned how I would feel...
"oogy"
i.e. "Damn, I feel so effing oogy today." or "Bro? You look uber oogy... you ok?"
I await the letter from Webster's telling me that my word made it into the dictionary...
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:12:03 PM | I definitely have my days...seems to have something to do with PMS...I just swear off make up for the day...slip into my favorite pair of lazy pants and make friends with the TV for a few hours...my last lazy day I watched Sybil (sp)(creepy ass movie if you haven't seen it) I'm thinkin' it's healthy...with or without chocolate =)
oogy...I dig it | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:13:51 PM | | I think most guys don't have this problem. My ex had days , usually during her period, where she felt blotted, and had cramps, and sex was totally out of the question. I would usually have to jack off during those ugly days. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:15:37 PM | Sigh....Yes, I have those days. I call them Bad Hair Days, but it has to do with a lot more than my hair.
Fortunately, I have a sweetheart who seems to think I look lovely all the time, even first thing in the morning, when I MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT.
(yeah, I know, he's a keeper!)

| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:25:38 PM | | of course, I think we all have had those days. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:27:54 PM | | I had one of those before. Not fun. I made me feel confused. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:45:02 PM | | had an ugly day...but it was totally rational! decided I should just stay far far away | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:56:56 PM | | We all have days when we don't want others in our space. Men have them too, but not because they feel ugly. Nothing wrong with wanting our own space from time to time. The more independant we are, the more space we need. | |

| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 2:57:25 PM | | There are those days that I just want to curl up under the covers and stay in bed. I don't think its so much a matter of how I look, it's a matter of how I feel. If I'm in a funky mood, the last thing I want to have is someone in my face, chattering away. Sometimes I just need "me" time. | |

| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 3:04:03 PM | | I blame all on Eve!! lol........Its the hormonal gift we endured...men got lucky but I'm sure when we get older and our hormones balance out better it will be the men having major issues. So lets hope they try to understand, for future reference. Lets just keep on smiling! | |

| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 3:57:59 PM | | oh yeah....all the time. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 4:03:24 PM | | Most everyone have day's like that ....If you feel real crappy you should spend time on your own ..... and you should be allowed to do so. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 4:19:13 PM | I don't think I've ever had an ugly day.
It's mostly average days, with a few "Damn I look good!" days every once in a while. What's wrong with you people?
Mentally though, there are quite a few ugly days.
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 4:24:02 PM | | When I skip working out....I feel like I gained 50 lbs overnight..I know it's psycological but I just feel yucky... | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 4:28:55 PM | I think all women experience ugly days. There are mornings, getting ready for work and nothing works... The hair does it's own thing... The make-up looks inadequate... Nothing you put on looks right... Mine usually start out when I hit 'snooze' too many times and I have to rush. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 4:52:35 PM | Nope...I can't say I get these...I don't think I'm vain enough to stay home and not want to see anyone because I don't think I look good. I'm more of a 'I really don't give a f*ck what I look like' person. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 4:54:24 PM | Gotta agree with this one....ugly days, bad hair days and fat days....you just don't look good, the hair just isn't doing what it's suppose to and for some reason nothing fits.....I hate those days....

| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 5:35:15 PM | omg, yes!
if i've had a sleepless night or if i have a skull-crushing headache, it really shows. i turn a truly remarkable shade of gray, my hair won't behave and every little thing just turns into a big f*cking ordeal.
wish i had the option of calling in sick.
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 5:55:38 PM | | I actually called in sick today - it was an emotionally ugly day. Maybe it's the time of year, or I need some special light bulbs, but the slightest little thing would make me burst into tears all day. When I have one of those days, I know it's time to just chill and pamper myself, take a day off if I possibly can, and be ruthless about not allowing any negative self-talk. | |
| Ugly days Posted: 1/11/2007 6:44:59 PM | I completely get this - just general feelings of fugliness, probably only apparent to me. That's why they invented sick days...LOL
I doubt men get this, I think it's only women who go through this every now and then. When men have periods they'll get it.
