| Viewed me - newest option on POF [Closed]
Posted: 1/23/2007 9:40:23 AM | So, the Roses were new this week and now "Viewed Me" is at the top right corner of our mailbox area when we sign in.
Do you like knowing who's viewed your profile? Does it pique your interest to go view their profile too?

Posted: 1/23/2007 9:47:22 AM | I think it's cool. Always wondered if it was a feature we would have. Some of the other sites I used in the past offered the same feature. I'll look thru it and send emails, At least I know they looked at some point in time.

VVVVVV I think it'd be more help in preventing "stalking"...."stalkers" would have to be pretty stupid to want to leave a visible trail of overly persistent visits behind. | |

There is an option to not let those know whom you have viewed in the mail settings for those that may be worried...lol

a guy holding a baby THE WRONG WAY (support the head and neck ffs!)
and 3 men on my friends list
i don't think i want to know whos' been checking me out.. no wait I don't know whos' been checking me out.. i just know thier body parts, pets & vehicles

Posted: 1/23/2007 9:59:21 AM | I think its alright....although i'm still deciding on whether to let people know if ive viewed them or not.....i look at peoples profiles for different reasons...whether it be someone im interested in...or someone ive seen on the forums and wonder a bit more about them...etc...
so for now, i like seeing whos veiwed me...and others will see if i have or not...

Ohhh man. I think its a great feature, goes to show that im not the only nosey person around.
I love reading profiles, i click on them all the time! In forums and in testimonials, in matches. Just cuz i can!
Im a profile reading junkie 
Love learning about people, their views, thoughts, feelings, humour found in some of these profiles gives me a chuckle and leaves me with a smile.
I didn't even see that option until now.
Now all Y'all that looked, then clicked on those visitors to your profile to see who they were........ yours will be first in line in their list!

Well perhaps our succesful experience may shed a light on what can work and what may not!! Oh and BTW making friends is a good thing as well, since there is a selection option for that. It may be nice to see who wants to befriend you!!! Why is it people think life ends when you have a relationship!! Freakin' he!l I have a fiance not bars on my window and soul!!!
edit - Hey JeepRennie I think we are like fire and ice I just have to conceed to you at times - we sure differ in opinions - hehehe - I have my opinion and you have yours - we may both have merit - but to simply say mine has none 'cause I have a relationship is off base!! | |

Although, looking at who viewed me was interesting because most of them are not on my matches. | |

Or perhaps not. I know I'm 48 and didn't just fall off a turnip truck. I'm sure many other people are similar. Everyone looks for different things in their own way, and don't necessarily come to look for shining examples of success.
Making friends is fine too, but that's not the main purpose of this site. I know that's not why I came here, and I'm 99.9% certain most others didn't come looking for buddies either. If you find some cool, but that's not the be all and end all, and as I see it...the whole cliquish buddy thing can stand in the way of dating/relationship issues.
I'm certain people don't think life ends when you have a relationship. I know I don't. But then, I know life is about more than the internet. I don't have bars on my windows or soul either. I'm sure most people don't. | |
