| Tijuana Police armed with...slingshots!
Posted: 1/24/2007 9:20:15 AM | This has been a crazy year, so far, in Tijuana. At the beginning of the year, over 4,000 Federales swarmed into Tijuana, and disarmed the entire Tijuana police force. This included the mayor's bodyguard. Corruption is rampant here, and it is the Mexican government's intention to do ballistic checks to see if any of guns possessed by the police have been used in crimes.
It has been over two weeks, and their weapons have not yet been returned. They are still expected to patrol the city, so.....many of them have gone out and bought a whole bunch of marbles, and are now packin' slingshots. It's a pretty wild scene down here. | |

I've read that many of the unarmed officers are patroling accomponied by a State Police officer or are stomping around in small squads of fellow unarmed officers. Those opting to go out with slingshots instead of a posse are Bad Mother****ers. | |
