child of frankenstien growin up..18 stitches from a dogbite in the face.....but i was a showgirl
by the time i was 16 and a model at 18...........and half the time i dont even wear makeup
now..........i used to be afraid i wasnt pretty.......or that my scars would seem gross to
someone.................but hell, honey, any body that loves you is gonna find ya beautiful ......
and thats beautiful just the way you are......some men find survival a beautiful skill in a
woman..and it sounds like you have survived............those that are bothered by scars arent
real men.............give em time to grow up
and in the meantime, recognize your own beauty..............scars have nothin to do with it!! | |

I've heard of guys who were bothered by extensive burn scarring but that was not all that common and usually in situations where limbs and facial features were actually burned off. Surgical scars are nothing, even in large numbers. Most everyone has some kind of surgical scar or other. | |

Try not to worry about that, if a guy is put off by things like that you really don't want him around anyway.
I was chatting to a girl last week (tango lesson), she seemed very attractive and picture perfect, but she still annoyed the bejayzus out of me. If she had been nice and had a big scar, I would have had a great evening. But no. No scar, and no fun. | |

If theres a situation where the belly button thing just comes into view they're liable to be primarily interested in other things just then. Possible it could even be useful. You could invite them to try and find it.

Posted: 4/10/2005 3:18:00 PM | All scars have a story.....and if the situation warrents it can be good lil conversation starters (I know men that actually have scar swapping stories....lol....so as women we should find away to be as comfy with them).....I have them and although I was initially embarassed by them they are just a part of the scenery now. *lol* Anyone that judges you for them isn't worth their salt anyways.
As far as the belly button thing......my mom had a surgery that left her without one as well....and she has been married three times so it didn't seem to slow her down in the "companionship" category.
