| lcd tv as a monitor Posted: 1/29/2007 6:28:45 AM | I had the same thought a few months ago, and after my research decided that, for me, the resolution provided by a TV isn't high enough for hocking it to my PC.
I forget the exact figures over TV resolutions but the highest I found was some HD TVs, but even they are way off compared to my computer monitor.
I can't remember where I got all my facts from, but it was all off the net so a Google search should yield results if you want the raw figures.
You can however, buy large PC monitors that can double as a TV. However these aren't anywhere near as cheap as TVs.
Hope this helps. | |

| lcd tv as a monitor Posted: 1/30/2007 5:22:37 AM | | You might want to look into an LCD monitor as a tv. I know someone who recently bought a HUGE 50+ inch LCD TV only to find out it was actually a monitor. Fortunately he had a video card with tv tuner and it works fine as a tv. The up side here was he paid much less for the monitor than what a tv would have cost him. | |
