I was sleeping over at my ex's parents house. I had never been in their house before and we got there late and pretty much went to bed. We slept in his parents room because they were away. I woke up in the middle of the night and there was a man standing over my bed. It was calming though. I knew it was ok. He just stood there watching us. He backed up and went and sat in the chair in the corner. I went to sleep. In the morning I was talking to my ex about it and he thought it was strange but thats it. He was making me breakfast and I started looking around the house. I found a picture of the man who was standing over the bed. I brought it to him. It was a picture of his Grandfather who died when his dad was 10. My ex's face went white and he no longer wanted to housesit.
I only saw it once. But I have things that happen like musicboxes turning on, lights flickering, I feel the coldness, I hear tapping.... I swear I am not crazy..It happened after one of my friends past away ( the tapping ) I would be like Sam you need to stop so I can go to sleep!! She wouldnt but it still was funny | |

Posted: 2/5/2007 9:25:10 PM | i have had a few experiences with ghosts. a few in my place in white rock and in cloverdale. wasn't alone either which is the cool thing. having someone with you to say "what the **** was that" is so cool.
i totaly believe in them.no doubter here
my daughter likes the stories.i have to tell her them a few times every now and then...she was part of one but too small to remember | |

Been seeing them since i was little. A few have freaked me out. Like the one that sat on my bed when i was at freinds one night and stroked my hair.Did NOT like that at all. I have lived in places where they were playful ones who liked to take things from you and hide them. I even have one that has been visiting me since i was a teen. I am so used to them now..they dont usually bother me. But some can be not so nice...most of them are ok. Most people i think i am nuts...but i have had so many exp's with them and have not always been alone either. That there is no way i could not believe | |

I was not frightened though because I know spirits come in peace and they will never harm us. I am reading a book right now called "Communicating with spirits for idiots" It teaches you how to unlock abilities in yourself that allow you to communicate with the other side. I'm fine with my spirit guide, he is very helpful and guides me in my day to day life. | |

Ghosts tend to be mischievious but so do some guys and girls,it can be way more fun. Guys can bother you too,just don't let them either if you don't like it. Some guys can be nice or not so nice too,just have to find-out whatever you please. Most guys are ok too. You're not nuts,maybeust need a gut to entertain you instead. Maybe you shouldn't be alone . I have worked there and stayed there. Didn't see too much, but certainly felt and heard a lot of things. I've worked in lots of old places and know the sounds they make... these sounds were not like those of an old building.
The old Tranquille farm in Kamloops ( a place I have visited many, many times ) is a good place to experience un-explained stuff. Day or night. I've been inside one of the buildings and have heard footsteps and dragging sounds in the next room and upon immediate investigation seeing a completely empty room with no one in it. This site has lots of buildings and houses that have been abandoned for quite awhile now - and a small cemetary . It also has lots of history as it originated as a tuberculosis centre and then a mental and physical handicap institution. Quite a place. I've even seen skeptics become totally un-hinged there - especially in the Sage building.

Because I have always seen those that are not on this plain of existence any longer I have always had an interest in maintaining and developing my abilities and so continue to do so daily through meditation etc... | |

Posted: 2/6/2007 10:22:46 AM | I have 2 in my home...one is a quiet woman from the 1920's and the other is Mr Higgins.
People that have lived in the basement hear the footsteps, nobody is home. Mr Higgins has shown himself to about 8 people...they call him by name.
Ever since the Christmas party they have been very quiet....my son will not sleep in his room and it is weird because they only haunt the front part of the house...it is original 1922...most of the rest of the house has been renovated. The haunted part includes my sons room and the living room.
I have seen the woman but not Mr Higgins , he only likes to haunt men. He can be quite mean actually. He really messes with the guys.

My grandparents house burnt down when my mom was a baby. Unfortunatley her brother did not make it out, and passed. The house was rebuilt, and life went on somehow.
I was living there at about 15yrs old, My room happened to be my Uncles room. Both my GF and I saw his "ghost" one night it freaked her out, but I had seen it before. She claimed it was tapping on her forehead, and said "lets Play"
I know what we saw, but I heard nothing...that night at least. | |

I didn't know you know how to cast a circle or read tarot cards Ch33tah! Maybe you can read mine! I actually have a good friend who read tarot as well and she always sees her dad. He passed away since she was a little kid but he always followed her to wherever she is. She was from SK originally and now here... but she also sees some nasty ones too. Actually, quite amazing to hear about all the stories. I personally haven't seen one but I saw the effects of it though such as door/drawer opened on its own.. sound of footsteps...and the feeling of somebody watching you behind your back. | |
