To get your thread moved to the party section, where it will have a sign-up button,
you have to have your get-together approved by the moderators or admin.

I am thinking about organizing Happy Hour get togethers in Montreal.
Were you thinking about events in Montreal or Ottawa?
Yes dancing is something people like, on the other hand, we could also make it different for the people that don't like the club or disco ambiance.
I am thinking about Sunday Breakfast, get togethers at famous pool halls, simple Happy Hour etc...
Maybe we should talk more about our ideas & maybe we could work together in having more singles events, specially in Montreal where there is just a few. Thanks to Lauren which is the only one so far that puts the efforts.

Sorry, Diane, but that's not how it works. I've seen other threads that get moved over after there have been posts already. It really depends when Big Fish or when one of the mods have the time to move the thread over. I've collaborated alot with Lauren33 with the parties, so I know the drill.
The sign-up button is only added when the thread has been moved....it is not done automatically.
I thought I would clear this up for everyone.
Case in point:
There was the guy with the rafting trip who took quite some time to have his thread moved...he just didn't know what the process was, so it took awhile for his rafting trip to appear in the party section.

The problem might be because you didn't go the link: "create an event", this is what happened to me last night for my March 2nd Happy Hour at Boul Noir, it registered as a post instead of an event.
What you could do is sending an e-mail to the admin "big fish" to ask him to transfer your post, he will then accept it & permit you to register people.

Posted: 2/21/2007 3:54:40 AM | Thanks for your tips. I will know what to do next time. However, even if no one shows up tonight I will go to Bentley`s at 9:30 PM and will be stiing at the bar area, not the service bar.
Everything needs a begining. I will be wearing a purple and black ski jacket.

Posted: 2/21/2007 9:58:59 AM | Hi Sylvain, too bad it is so far & late for a mid-week event, I live in Chambly which is at the opposite of Laval, 2 bridges to cross, maybe another time, if you do it at the end of the week.
Are you thinking about coming to the March 2nd Happy Hour? We could talk more about the events organization & maybe we could cooperate.
