Suggestion to improve the quality of correspondence

Hi,

I have been reading the forums, and I was curious about a certain complaint around the general theme that this site exhibits two problems. Note- the generic usage of 'Men' and 'Women" is not meant to generalize, it doesn't apply to everyone. Take it for what it's worth.

1) Women get too many messages, and thus have no time to read them all or respond in a gracious fashion. This leads to men not taking the time to send considerate first messages , and rather generic copies of the same "Hi, How are you, Want to chat?" .which is a complaint among women.

2) Men send 50 messages a day because they feel that women don't really 'look' and just read delete or unread delete. Men treat it like- I'll throw it at the wall, let's see how much can stick. This is not productive.

Would a good idea not be to perhaps have stronger limits on first emails. Perhaps 5 per day? That will allow the volume of new emails to women to decrease. Will this then allow women the time to read emails in full? I do not know, but it is worth consideration.

This limit will then encourage both men and women to get to know the people they have already made contact with. Will more talking lead to better results, I don't know either.

Just a suggestion.

Only idiot's and azzholes send 50 messages a day.
Unless, they are mailing back and forth with friends.

Just my opinion.

Well, it WOULD be an artificial way of weeding those '***holes and idiots' out wouldn't it?

You are capped at 5 cut and paste emails a day I think.

At any rate the real problem is that the majority of email goes to the same 2 % of women, and 1% of the men.

See the 6 C & P messages I sent to you, didn't type a single word after the first one which I copied and pasted from right here in the forum.

I sympathize with "Sincere Soul". Ideally the database would be restructured such that your likes and dislikes and those of your potential contact are compared with each other before search results are returned. Then you would only get genuine matches returned. Likely a very small list. Hence the problem as I see it. More search results means more clicking which means more ads presented thus more revenue. Simple. BUT this site is different than all those I have seen the search is better but not perfect and the added features mostly work well.

With all the sites it is the nice looking ladies that get way too many e-mails. Hundreds a day by their own admission. So really the ladies should do the browsing then invite selected men to start the first conversation with a wink/smile. This would then force the men to write proper profile introductions and the women could speed through these much easier and await a genuine first contact message.

So How about it Ladies?

And Site Master, are you ready to help your clients to the fullest capabilities of a database?
