Does anyone remember the nutty bar
The only way to explain it is toffee in a long shape like a dog turd, rolled in nuts??
It was in a clear brown wrapper.
Also those jelly sweets called larger tops
Look at the website aquaterof - they do loads of old stylie sweets | |

| Old sweets Posted: 2/9/2007 3:38:52 PM | | You can still get flying saucers. I miss those little things that literally used to explode in your mouth. I bought some kola kubes and apple drops the other week. i preferred pineapple chunks though personally. Although I'd love some of those of mouth poppy things (not for me, it would be funny as hell to see someones expression with a mouthful of those) I wish I could remember the name. | |
|
| Old sweets Posted: 2/9/2007 3:49:18 PM | I miss spangles and pacers, also tuti fruitis I know they are out now, but they just don't taste the same, oh yeah a cabana and the marble chocolate...

| Old sweets Posted: 2/10/2007 4:22:28 AM | | Imps. horrid little black things that were the sweet of chice to stop anyone else wanting em! Aztec bars. Icebreaker chocalte bars that did taste 'cool'. Parma Violets, go on admit that you really did like eating sweet perfume! As for the Texan bar ....'You wouldn't fire a man till he'd finished his Texan bar would you?' Loads more that I cant stop thinking about now, DOH! And yes I remember all the adverts too | |
|
| Old sweets Posted: 2/10/2007 5:33:49 AM | I seem to remeber a tooth cames out of a Texas bar - seriously hardcore that one.
I havent had any of that crack cocaine stuff that fizzes on your tongue. Yeah - it's wierd how you stop having some sweets.
I also use to have club biscuits and nibble all the chocolate off first - are they still around? Them and Uniteds.
My grandad used to work for Rowntree, and we used to get loads and loads of off-cuts - stuff like Y shaped Lion bars and khaki smarties. Awesome.
