| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/13/2007 3:38:01 AM | How about a nice romantic meal at your place? After the meal, dessert (so you'll need to pop out and get that massage oil, might come in handy). Valentine's gifts don't always have to be materialistic. | |

| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/13/2007 6:17:43 AM | Sounds like he was being nice.
I think the baking is plenty. Don't over do it. I would buy the massage oil but ONLY get it out if things "go that way" tomorrow. You can always use it another time right??
You're like me, you need to STOP yourself from getting caught up in the madness in the shops sometimes heh. Stick with what you have, save the shirt for another time. If you use up all your ideas now, what will you be able to do later?

| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/13/2007 6:33:25 AM | | If he's a new boyfriend, going overboard may scare him off! He'll feel pressure to reciprocate, and may not be comfortable with that. I agree with the above post that the baking may be enough, with the massage oil in reserve. | |

| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/13/2007 6:59:19 AM | Here's the solution. Scrap the shirt idea and shop here. http://www.lavieenrose.com/catalog/detail.jsp?product_code=K1306-6F3&category=1015
There is a store in Coquitlam. My choice would be the butterfly item as it evokes that fresh, breathe deeply, sweet aroma of spring. Mmmmmm. And it's on sale, as well.
The perfect way to say, "Be my Valentine".

| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/13/2007 8:48:18 AM | | skip the chocolates...guys don't seem to be into that kind of stuff and the baked goods as well. How about something like tickets to his fav sporting event, if he's into been then a nice collection of different ales, a basket of men things like a mens mag, pretzels, beef jerky, a coffee mug for him to drink coffee from (and think of you daily), and a pair of PJ pants and a good mans movie? you know things he's into...if he likes golf then a basket with some golf items, a new glove, some golf balls, a towel, and some rounds of golf, a visor...having been married 24 yrs I've learned men really get off on things they will ACTUALLY use for gifts...just because it's valentines day doesn't mean it has be all about romance and candy...JMO!! | |

| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/14/2007 2:35:48 PM | | its so hard though because i know with my last bf he LOVED getting the baked goods and chocolates..I gave him his tshirt last night for the concert we went to, then bought a thing of his fav chocs, massage oil and and baking him some goodies cuz i told him id bake for him one day..hopefully he likes them | |

| New bf and Valentine's Day Posted: 2/14/2007 2:59:11 PM | I'm with a minimalist approach. Most guys just aren't into Valentines Day. I dated one woman years ago that had never managed to have an actual relationship over VDay (and it was her birthday too, come to think of it). She became more insane the closer it got.
In other words, you've done more than enough.
Cheers, Mike (but guys always appreciate sex)
