Posted: 4/14/2005 12:33:56 AM | When I watch a Kung Fu movie, I snicker when I hear their hands make that cracking the wind sound.
But it seems that we accept it in American movies when there's a fight and someone gets punched on the chin and you hear a slapping sound. I've seen enough real fights and have never heard that slapping sound when someone gets punched. It's more like a thud.
Do you notice there's a made-up sound when you watch an American fight scene?

Posted: 4/14/2005 12:39:33 AM | I know!! There's only been a few that I've seen where that was absent. Maybe someone should whoop the sound effects guys up and down the street 'till they get used to the real sounds of fists on flesh... or kicks for that matter!  | |
