Have you seen those advertisements "Rent A Husband" ? I am getting a list of things that need doing... and would be willing to 'pay' with a meal etc.. (NO NOT THAT!)

Think we can make lists of what we need doing and hook people up together who can do it?

Kind of like the POND DATING, but more like "HONEY-DO". What do you say fellow POFFERS?

So... when I "Rent a husband", do I have to supply the batteries and Viagra too????
At OP... Renting a Husband for me is not an option. I am Ms Fixit around my place and have saved thousands of $ in the process...
There is only one thing I can think of that a man could fix for me

Okay ladies she is not talking about 'THAT' kind of fix it

I hear you and agree with you H&P...it would be great to swap favors....someone to do the things you mentioned and then pay them with things that maybe they don't do, like sew on buttons, cook a great meal, buy them a drink....the ideas could be endless.....

the barter system lives

I chuckled when I saw this thread and just have to respond.......my RENT A HUSBAND is a man I met 10 years ago, he was my neighbour in an apartment building when I was still renting …….we did many projects together and got along just fine, he changes the oil and does the brakes on my vehicle, has installed washers and dishwashers, dug many a garden bed for me……an all-around handyman who he has become a very dear friend over the years ….he’s gay and yes I do pay him for his services and consider myself very fortunate to have him in my life - no booty required!!

As a guy, I could probably go along with something like this, and keep my intentions in check. I was laughing until I read about buttons being sewn on. Not only do I have a garbage bag of shirts along with a zip-loc of buttons, I also have a karate gi that needs hemming and jeans with knee-holes. Food you didn't have to cook yourself is always a plus, too.

pay rent for husband service,.I'm intrigued...come to think of it I could be serviced on a regular basis. Buy or leasing costs you money and is a hassle to break the contract,,,,but rent offers the best features and benefits without obligation .

still don't understand this concept, so does this mean that my ex would be the one I pay for to do odd jobs for me if i didn't know how.
just hire a jack of all trades person then there is no expectation for a booty...

Can we turn this around, then?

If I had a nice house to share (so you wouldn't have to fix your own leaky roof/walls/whaterver), would you move in, cook my meals, do my laundry and iron, while I paid the bills?

It wouldn't work, would it.

I'm a carpenter and i find being single i'm quite happy to fill my evenings helping friends with the only payment being good company and a homecooked meal. Could be a good way to meet some new ppl also. So if you are a good cook and need something fixed don't hesitate to ask.

Waits for peach to finish with the "whip" thing and post......

I am thinking that many of us are way tooooooo expensive to rent......even more to buy......so maybe you need to just "give" and see what happens?????

Just my opinion......
