okay, my brother made a country CD about 18 months ago while I was dating LG and LG just loved it. Listened to it all the time, and knew all the words on it. Well LG and I split up and it wasnt on bad terms, but it certainly wasnt on good terms either.
Now its been almost a year since I have even spoken to him and now my brothers new CD has been released but is yet unavailable here.
So I sent him a copy. LG that is. Now all my friends are freaking right out. I see nothing wrong with that. Its only a CD.

What do you think of sending your ex a gift, just because you know they will like it? Do you think it means anything other than a gesture of.....hey....I thought you'd like this.

I would do the same for any of my friends.

Meh, I'd look on that as no different than sending an email forward to an ex. Now ... if you'd gone out and BOUGHT a whole bunch of mainstream stuff that you thought "LG" would like, then your friends might have something to nag about.

By the way, is LG a pet-name or an acronym?

If I sent my ex a gift...it would be a one way ticket to rehab and the nut house

Oh shoot, I was ready to respond with a resounding "yes" to sending your ex a gift, until I read the

My ex sent me a box full of gifts- I had to open it to get my sports bra I had left at his place out- and I could afford to return it- I kept one gift we had chosen together that was supposed to be for my birthday (which was 3 months before I dumped him), and donated a book he sent me to my university's library and a stuffed animal to my school's clinic where we work with kids. I also kept the two recipe books he sent because I know I will use them and there' no real sentiment attached. I feel bad keeping them- but he chose to send them knowing it was over and he lvies out of the country so to return it would have been expensive and hurtful- he would have been more upset I think...

Really it is uncomfortable at the level he did it- at your level it seems fine...

Hey
My ex and I exchange the occasional "gift" but nothing expensive...just something that the other might like.....just because you are not together does not mean that you cannot have thoughts or warm wishes for that person
I give all my "friends" presents on occasion............
Kudos to you for rising above the "bitter" exes and all it entails...............

I think it all depends on what your relationship was, how long it lasted, how it ended and of course, your motivation for the gift. I was married for a very long time and we are still good friends.....would I give him a gift that I thought he'd like, absolutely!

Sending him the CD helps promote your brother. Who cares what LG thinks. It was an awesome thing to do. It's all about the music!

I would not send a gift to her but a thank you card to her boyfriend.
