and so are the days of our lives!!
hands up all those who thought she was innocent roflmao!!
SCHAPELLE Corby's supporters have slammed suggestions the convicted drug smuggler bribed prison guards to enjoy day trips outside prison walls.
The allegations were aired on Channel 7's Today Tonight last night alongside photos of the former Queensland beauty student enjoying drinks at the beach with sister Mercedes only months after her arrest. The report also showed footage of a smiling Schapelle being taken to a dentist by Indonesian police last month.
But Mercedes denied her sister had been enjoying day release in return for bribing prison officials, saying her sister would be instantly recognised in Bali bars or restaurants.
The November 28, 2004, photos of Corby shown last night were taken before she was sentenced to jail, the family said.
At the time she was being held at Denpasar police headquarters, having been arrested on October 8. She was allowed out after arrangements were made by her lawyer to meet family.
The Corby family said Schapelle had remained in prison since except for the dental appointment.
She was taken from Kerobokan prison on February 28 to see a dentist on requests supported by Australian Embassy officials.
She was driven to hospital with prison guards, followed by Australian consular staff in another car.
Foreign Prisoner Support Service advocate Kay Danes said the Corby family had last week told her that stories of Schapelle cavorting around Bali were nonsense.
"I do know Schapelle has been out of the prison, but that was for her dentist and you don't go on any sight-seeing tour, you just go to the hospital and back," Ms Danes said.

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 3/13/2007 12:40:35 AM | hands up all those who thought she was innocent roflmao!!
No way... I always said if it was not her that bought the drugs in she is protecting someone very close to her, at the time I thought of her brother, but I am starting to think it may be her sister, if not her. I think they were both into it.
Funny how no one has answered that question. lol.... this sounds much like another international incident ..
I cannot understand for the life of me where people get off going to another country, breaking their rules and expect the australian public to support them. But then again they know that the Australian public will support them that's why they do it.
I feel sorry for Jodie and I support her, she stands firm in her convictions and if anyone should be rewarded is Jodie. Corby can stay there in Indonesia for life, but she will be transported back to Australia and be released and make a fortune .
Put her together with Bali 9 omg..... the fugitives and criminals become celebrities. now I have seen it all..

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 3/13/2007 1:14:55 AM | Having done a lot of overseas travel, you would definitely notice an extra 4kg of weight in your boogie board. Does she think we're all stupid?
Carena | |
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 3/13/2007 1:26:32 AM | Carena, you took the words right out of my mouth. I have always assumed that she is guilty.
I believe that she 'knowingly took the drugs into Bali' whether it was for herself or someone, she was the mule.
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 3/13/2007 2:10:37 AM | Agreed^^^ Also why the heck would you need a boogie board when sister runs a surf shop We all forget barlow and chambers in malaysia many years ago now although different circumstances they were dealt the ultimate......I wonder now if she suffered the same fate would even be talking about it...... | |
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 3/13/2007 2:48:28 AM | | She's certainly guilty of possession. You can speculate till Hell freezes over about whether she was a drug mule or not.Still there's no hard evidence because the marijuana was destroyed by the incompetent Indonesian police so there's no finger prints and the hearsay evidence about drug smuggling at Brisbane or Sydney Airports was ruled as inadmissable(correct me if I'm wrong any budding lawyers out there). | |
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 3/13/2007 6:46:18 AM | schapelle is a nice peice of ass.... mean that in a nice drug smuggling sort of way ... mule donkey ass...i will edit the top bit in the morning

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 12/17/2007 5:55:28 AM | | who was that other catwalk mule that played her cards very right..Michelle Leslie? Her campaign for release must have been very shrewd. I wonder how much money changed hands there? Did she release a book yet? | |
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 12/17/2007 6:35:55 AM | Schapelle Corby is guilty!
You only had to see the fake cry on the telly at her sentencing to know this. Does she really think we are that dumb?
Drug smuggler...yes. Actress...No way!
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 12/17/2007 6:59:35 AM | I'm not going to hazard a guess whether Chapelle Corby is innocent or guilty but I don't think she had to fake the tears at being given 20 years in prison.
I think she played the game very poorly, I think she had the wrong people batting for her, I think she's a bit of a mindless bimbo, I don't think anyone deserves to be locked up for pot but if they do smuggle pot into another country & get caught they have to accept the laws of that country, thats the risk they take.
I feel sorry for her, whether she is guilty or not.
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 12/17/2007 10:59:33 AM | The way I see it, recent news of that ex heroin addict giving a "credible" statement of Corby being linked to a gang of drug runners, still doesn't really seal her guilt. Geez even their own mothers are "linked" by default. But she doesn't really say much else that we can tell about that. They already had a successful operation, with tar paper false bottoms in suitcases that were undetectable for emphetamines. Why would they leave a 4 kilo plastic bag of stinking buds rolling around in a body board bag, unless a) they wanted her to get caught, or b) they wanted to test the boundaries Indonesion Customs? | |
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 12/18/2007 12:29:39 AM | If Chapelle was guilty or not the evidence they had or didnt have was destroyed, tampered with, non existent or inadmissable so really the case wasnt very fancy to start with.
On the other hand, what person in their right mind takes 4kg of pot to Bali. Now all you pounds and ounces folk..........THATS ALOT OF DOPE!!!
Drug dealers in Bali are like surf shops........one on every corner which again begs the question; why take all that pot AND a boogie board to bali?? Its just getting more silly as it rolls on. Michelle Lesley played her 'muslim' card right on cue and was smart. Chapelle has been misrepresented by her lawyers, her family have done nothing but antagonise the situation and I do think she was a victim of a drug deal that went terribly wrong and somewhere out there is a pot-head on the other side of Australia who is still bemoaning the fact he wont have bongs for christmas........
If the girl is getting by purely from graft and corruption more power to her. Heaven knows its a country built on the stuff!!

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 12/18/2007 12:49:59 AM | | My theory is that she was set up by the big bosses she was dealing for because she was ripping them off. There are some people you don't mess with & I think because she was young & attractive she thought she'd get away with it. Remember there were baggage handlers at that time caught smuggling drugs out. I think one of them was paid to slip it into her bag to set her up as an example of what happens when you cross the wrong people. | |

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 6/22/2008 11:17:58 AM | HRH Princess Schapelle..........game back on.
All week Nine has been advertising the Corby Special and then on the eve of its airing; she is admitted to hospital suffering severe depression.
Was that to “butter” us up for the actual airing of the special report? Are we being played, our heart strings being pulled?
Why was there specific mention of the $1billion in tsunami aid and also that the hospital that she was admitted to was partially built by Australian donations after the Bali Bombings?
Is there a plot afoot?
We’ve now watched part A. What’s the “shocking truth” contained in the grand finale part B?
Is it that she is actually guilty and has been acting it up all along? Or is it that the family was involved all along, thinking that they’d make a fast buck selling to expats and tourists? Was it the father, brother or sister or all three?
What are your thoughts on this great game?........Stay tuned.

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 6/22/2008 11:40:37 AM | ok.. well I think she is protecting someone her brother > dont know if he did it .
Depression.. well I am going to give her my heart, Guilty or not, she is in prison a foriegn land. AND.. her father - step father have recently died. She is allowed to grieve.
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 6/22/2008 2:48:04 PM | I didn't really watch it, but I did briefly see them interview the brother.
He said people get caught, go to jail for ayear, get $100,000 when they get out. He said who wouldn't do it for the money.
|
| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 6/22/2008 11:36:41 PM | | She should have been given the death penalty, she knew the laws and I believe she is guilty (or protecting the guilty person). If you go into another country (which have clear warnings that drug trafficers get the death penalty) and break their laws we really don't have a right to complain how they deal with it. Follow the law of the land and you will enjoy your holiday. | |

| The Corby's are at it again Posted: 6/23/2008 1:36:30 AM | Her family, her defense, the media...they all played us.
Corby's original case played on sympathy and ran with blaming baggage handlers which turns out to be a lie; no one tampered with her luggage.
If she was innocent they should never have dabbled with that dodgy excuse because it's backfired on them and she has to pay for that bad decision.
How believable is her rather timely hosptial outing when it conincides with yet another TV exposé? I don't buy into her being a misguided martyr possibly trying to protect her brother; her family and their money making tactics are dodgy.
On a petty note, I'd like a refund for all the plastic wrapping and extra locks I put on my luggage and board bags when I went to Bali and for the scaremongering that went on, a big hug!
