Not saying I'm a millionaire or CEO of a huge company, but that's not what I'm after. Good philosophy though, for all to live by. | |

The reason a person who dropped out of high school, spent time living on the streets beat drug and alcohol addiction and became a successful business person is not contained on this tape.
it is contained within the person who set their sites on a goal and did not let anyone or anything prevent them from achieving their goal.
it's not spirituality, it's not some mystic power, it's not faith. It is drive.
If you want to do something for yourself go do it.
Don't have a degree? get the degree or find a way to do it without a degree. it can be done. ANYTHING can be accomplished by ANYONE with enough drive. | |

I've seen it......and I will say one thing......it can't hurt to believe it! Most of us believe in God, some of us believe in other bizarre things.....so I say it can't hurt to believe that I have it in me to succeed in what I want.  | |

Posted: 3/13/2007 7:33:52 PM | I have seen pieces on Oprah and I am very interested in watching it. There's a Learning Annex coming to Toronto at the end of the month and one of the guys from that movie, (name forgotten) is supposed to be there.
Like tdb said, believing it can't hurt....

I'm presently reading Jack Canfield's book: The Principles of Success
Subtitled: How to get from where you are to where you want to be
and I have to say it's much better than the secret.
The Secret puts it out there but Jack's book gives you the road map on how to get there.
I call it a blueprint for success.

The way I see it, if a book/video can give you one nugget of wisdom that can alter your life for the better, then it is worth the $30 bucks. For myself, it had exactly the advice I needed to hear at exactly the moment I needed to hear it, and yes i've seen the benefits of it within only hours of watching it. Chapters sells the book version, I have yet to see it (the local stores have sold out), but I will buy it first chance I get. | |

i couldn't agree more. it's just slick packaging wrapped in some "mystical" mania of the same thing motivational speakers and philosphers have been saying for centuries. | |

Yeah, it's been around a long long time...for centuries, but it's hard to break out of bad habits that are totally engrained in one's subconsious. I think the 'packaging' is great...sure it's been said before, but the presentation in this video is outstanding. You start seeing it echoed in so many exant forms...it's all over the place in the Bible. Of course the Bible is also filled with the inverse of 'The Secret'....just read any of Paul's letters, all he does is preach AGAINST stuff. | |

Posted: 3/14/2007 8:44:01 PM | | I have it and have watched it 5x, (so far). I also went to Michigan to meet and listen to James Aruthur Ray one of the speakers on the DVD. He was worth the drive. I bought his CD's and listen to them in my car. For me as I watch and listen it is stuff that I knew, heard before and makes sense but just didn't put it altogether. I also enjoyed the DVD better then a book or CD because it kept my attention. I liked the way it was presented. I do recommend it to anyone who needs a change of perspective. | |

Posted: 3/15/2007 5:27:47 AM | What a fantastic documentary. I've seen it 3 times now. I bought it. It makes you rethink coincidence. I feel that I'll get more of any situation by applying the principles of this theory. What have you got to lose - nothing.
Also a great read is "The Celestine Prophecy" and the "Tenth Insight" both along the same line.

Posted: 3/15/2007 6:26:57 AM | Watched it and own it. Also watched a segment of this on Larry King Live just last week. I have to agree with Leeanne; positivity begets positivity. Each of us we will take parts of this an apply it to our lives; as we are all in different stages. Thinking and visualizing is not enough, actions in a positive direction will help you succeed in your goals. The Secret is a further extension or further information on what years ago we were reading "The Power of Positive Thinking" So, the comments made that it has been around a long time I agree with.

I'm not dissing the movie as I haven't seen it. I'm just wary of some new fangled fad that is marketed and advertized by one of the biggest business moguls in America.
If the Message is believe in yourself, have drive and work hard, do not give up ... these aren't new concepts at all. Why pay 30 bills to have a tape tell you what has been known for years?

It has helped me to grow alot of strength especially of late. It has worked for my brother he just signed a record deal with Paramount studios. Posted: 3/15/2007 9:10:51 AM | My daughter and I watched this together (she's 16 yrs old). She applied for a great job a couple days after watching it, she applied all principles of the Secret to this prospective job - 5 days later she found out that she got the it!
When she got the news - she told me that she believes in the Secret and is trying really hard to apply it in day to day life and school. She looks at things a lot harder now, and wonders what the lesson is for her.
I think this will help her all throughout her life. I'm really glad that she sat through the documentary. | |
