How do u say "i love you".....
Not the actual words, do u have a funny cute quirky way of showing it or saying it....
Or has someone ever shown u or said something to u that makes u see that they love you?
moonlit serenade....candles around the bath tub....rose petals on the bed...
I always say to my guy
"GREENY BROWN SHEEP"

However, I find it really annoying when people constantly say "I love you." without any feeling behind it.
"Ok, going to work, luv you."
"See ya later, luv you."
"Going to take a dump now, luv you"
"I can't believe you cheated on me with the Hokey team, you lying slime ball, I hope you die a painful death. See you in court...luv you."

Posted: 3/21/2007 2:56:08 AM | One of my exbfs never said the words, but he showed me many, many times, in several different ways, that he loved me. Something as simple as making a pot of coffee the way I liked it - he liked "motor oil" while I liked a lighter cuppa; putting a comforter and shams on the bed - he preferred a duvet, I preferred the comforter; helping me get "geared up" for a tour on the motorcycle; going to a restaurant that I liked even though he would rather eat somewhere else. There are so many little, personal ways he showed me how he felt.
I now will only say the words when I truly mean them, but will show someone I care by doing special things for them. I will cook them a special meal; buy tickets to a show they want to see; take their dogs for a walk to give them a break; participate in something they enjoy but is not my favourite thing to do, such as bowling, playing pool, or gardening; and see a movie again and again just to be with them.
I have been in relationships where the word love was tossed around so much, by both parties, that it lost its meaning, becoming a habit instead of a hearfelt reality.

- Cooking their favourite meal for them ( even though they have not told me, but I did some of my own research to find out )
- Giving them the best opportunity to do something they really need and want ( i.e. working my butt off to save enough money for 1-yr tuition for a course they wanted to take, to give them a career boost ).
- Putting them before me in every way ( i.e. doing " weird " things that they could not understand at the time, and eventually understood way after, when things worked out for them in the end ).

You ladies have said EXACTLY what I was gonna say. It's not just the grand jestures of love that show it, although, nothing wrong with the grand stuff. It's the little things that you do that makes me stop, look you in the eyes and say it.Like, stopping during your work day to e-mail me and let me know that a movie that we want to see has been scheduled for release. (directed at one lady in particular, you know)

I enjoy sending cards, cooking a man a meal, and doing special things for a man I am involved with. Just because I do those things sometimes does not mean I love someone. It just means I am a sincere and caring person.I would hate to think the men I have cooked a meal for or done special things for all think that equaled into "I love you."
Some people say or "hear" I Love You in different ways. I hear it when a man speaks the words to me with the actions behind the words. I need them both. I also give them both. If I love someone, I say, "I love you" and show them also. No guessing games with me. Love is just another word without the actions behind it. | |

It isn't how much someone gives to be with you that proves their love. It's how much they are willing to give up that shows how much you are loved. | |
