| Its all about the simple things Posted: 3/21/2007 6:35:25 AM | | Life can be strenuous, best advice is to find the simplier things in life that will give you at least a smile or a warm thought, even if only lasts for a few moments, its all worth it. One of mine is to lay outside on a blanket in the summer at night and watch the stars. It costs nothing, spend as much time as you want doing it, then if you get tired of it, find something else that is simple that will give you enjoyment. Thoughts anyone? | |

& just last night...while cooking dinner with my roomie, we had music playing & he just spun me around & started dancing with me. put a smile on my face.

It's all about the little things...finding enjoyment on a personal level...going for a walk on an offbeaten path, or as you said, just simply laying out on the lawn watching the stars, (do the same thing)...hop in the canoe and just paddle...find a small beach....
Even in relationships it's all about the little things, it can be said the small things are the glue that binds, holds a couple together...
Finding the simple things to do I find is a personal freedom that relieves the stress of a fast food world....
We all need to stop sometimes and realize we're alive........smell the proverbial flowers.......

It was far enough away from the city lights that there were double the amount of visible stars in the sky. The water has an increase in phosphorous in this bay, so the water itself tended to glow as it settled over rocks and at the water's edge.
I used to love hanging out there with my friends until the owner of the property would come down and chase us off his beach. It was private property, but we were always quicker than he was.

| Its all about the simple things Posted: 3/21/2007 9:47:34 AM | | ^^^ that is a good one...so is the stars, but also just having friends drop in and see you is great also, sitting or laying on the balcony just watching the humming birds and letting the sunshine or even summers rain fall on you.. the fresh clean smell after a rain or even just listening to it fall ... I love the sound of the ocean and go there just to sit and relax and just let the calm wash over me.... simple and costs nothing but time... | |

There are so many reasons I am thankful to be alive, my kids laughter is a big one, the beautiful place we live, the fact I have a roof and food on my table..the beach down the road..the list goes on but I try not to take any of it for granted too much..or for too long lest I forget how amazingly short life is The best things in life really are free!

It's amazing when I need time for someone to listen, it's not available. Crumbs maybe this tells me something about me . Really I don't want to sound negative. Friends don't cost money, would love to sit on English Bay in my favorite wool poncho under a huge umbrella, worlds best marlot with a good friend listening while I just b-i-t-c-h I need this today

| Its all about the simple things Posted: 3/21/2007 3:31:31 PM | It's always the simple things that we look back on that give us the fondest memories, and those memories are things we can hold onto in our hearts for a lifetime. Rainy nights, fireplace going, cuddled on the couch with my daughter, popcorn, a good comedy, dog snoring beside us, it doesn't get much more simple that that.. I've done that will all 3 of my kids, the older 2 can't remember half the stuff they wanted when they were younger, but they remember the movies nites and all the popcorn fights... Being on their own it's a tradition they plan to follow with their own families.. Memories of simple things last a lifetime.. | |

- certain people that I know who can light me up with just a glance. -Garage Sales, with the early morning coffee /Bagle stop, and finding a great bargain!! I know sad..lol -Sitting in the backyard on a summers day, BBQ going, having a cold drink and watching my babies playing. -Walking in fresh snow at midnight, just to experience the soft sound of silence. -Campfires late at night, and staring into the sky to see what amazing sites you can find. -Oh and how can i forget, Bubble Baths.. AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Peaceful and contentment surroundings. Sitting by the ocean, watching and listening to the marine way of life, driving up the back roads and sightseeing, so many varied simple yet intoxicating wonders...

Friends that are there for you through thick and thin. People who act upon what they say instead of all talk. Most of all having a roof over you head and food in your belly, for that Is more then many people have in this day and age.
Seeing each day as a new begining of a book that has yet to be writen.

Enjoying a very good whiskey under some natural lights (depending on the time of day), with no other sound except that of a running river in the background. Oh, you could throw a good fire in there too, if she's chilly and dark enough.
