FILTER: 5 / 10 posts per day limits / loss of thread creation rights [CLOSED]Page 1 of 1
ive done a thread search on the following topics:
5 posts per day
5 posts limit
limit on posts

and nothing has come up for any of these so..........

can someone tell me why i have been limited to only 5 posts per day?

is this a warning of some sort like the 200 word limit?
ive not seen anything in the forum rules, maybe i overlooked it?

Haven't heard of this one yet but perhaps someone will come along and interject on the thread. My best assumption would be that it is a curtailment on forum post violations.

For example: Padding posts is not acceptable

I got banned and after I was unbanned, I could only post 5 times a day for a certain amount of days, then, it resumed to being able to post whenever.

Don't know your particular case, but, that was mine.

consider the above measures an extension of the following threads:

FAQ - Message Posts / Replies too short / Text limits
FAQ - Limit of No More than 2 Posts in last 10 Sequential Posts

  • when you have nothing better to add than

blah blah blah blah need to post 200 words or more blah blah blah
dancing with the start da da da da da da
dancing with the start da da da da da da
dancing with the start da da da da da da

to circumvent text limit rules - then further measures are implemented prior to last and final rule

  • or ...

  • these same sanctions apply to consistent chatters, thread comedians, attention seekers with the "who can come up with the best wisecrack" syndrome rather than contributing something worthwhile, etc. etc.

  • or ...

  • insulting thread trollers with nothng of merit to add (see full rules)

For the 5/10 posts per day, or loss of thread creation, normal privileges will return once posting history is deemed to be acceptable at the discretion of the moderator. If one should lapse into the same habits again, it will just be reset and remain, as we don't have the time to hear repeated stories of it will never happen again.

The System will only tell you, you have reached the maximum number of allowable posts per day - not the Reason. The Reasons should be concluded from an awareness of your posting history versus the Acceptable Use & Posting Rules and Forum Posting Guidelines

Important To Note

When a posting sanction has been imposed, the number of posts are within a 24 hour clock (PST) of the time it was initially set - not midnight to midnight. Consequently if you hit less than the 5 or 10, start posting sooner. Unfortunately this is the way it is, and we're not going to field complaints with respect to this nor figure out when the start stop time as as we don't record it manually, nor is it recorded by the system like an out right forum suspension is.

If you want to figure it out, go back either 5 or 10 posts back and see what the time of the first post was and then calculate for your timezone as postings are PST as well.
