Posted: 4/1/2007 10:17:28 AM | simply cancel the date or stand me up just before the meet time???? I was just seeing if I could get some feedback on what to do. I may just have to go out more instead of finding all the insincere and syndicated women from the internet??? It's kind of funny actually. This thread will invariably be deleted so caring gals with something to say about this predicament us average "joes" are faced with very soon so I can atleast get some feedback. Thanks and happy April fools day. ps I believe I will be frequenting Rollies in downtown Belfast Maine far more often because there are tons of cuties down there who are also down to earth and not fickle. art.   | |

Posted: 4/1/2007 10:23:34 AM | I won't meet unless I talk with someone on the phone 1st. If the conversation flows online but not on the phone then I don't feel like it will in person. I made a mistake of accepting an online date then we spoke on the phone and he stuttered because he was so nervous to talk to me.
Unlike the women you've talked to. I made plans so I still met him. He was a nice guy but I was not interested at all. He did not look like his photo.... his front teeth needed some work and his photo let's just say it was misleading.
I've NEVER blown someone off.....
Edit: Whelp, dang it... why don't you live in Cali! I've only met a handful of guys that seem to have morals and values out here! If I could have Texas men... and this gorgeous Cali setting... I'd be in Heaven! | |

I would not make a date, and then cancel it at the last minute, unless I had a really good reason!! I think that is rude!! I have been stood up before, and it sucks!! lol
I treat people the way that I want to be treated!! I guess if they do that to you, then they were never really worth your time in the first place...and it's better to find that out right away, then to be strung along!! Dating is a frustrating thing....hang in there, and the right one will come along, but don't let the others discourage you too much, they are just playing games, or probably don't like themselves, and you don't wanna be with someone like that anyway!! Posted: 5/4/2007 10:11:15 AM | I think women want to talk on the phone in order to hear the man's voice and how he speaks, we need to learn about you guys any way we can. We take a big chance agreeing to meet you, and with no more input than your words on our screens it's tough to take that leap of faith.
However, once a woman has agreed to meet you, she should indeed, meet you. That's why I always arrange a day time meeting, in a public place. Indoors at a coffee shop really works well, I feel safer with other people around me. Maybe that was the problem, she didn't feel safe.

I much prefer to talk on the phone first, but I wouldn't stand someone up. That's cruel. also stupid because what goes around comes around!

People who are not honest are ruining it for the ones who sincerely want to hook up and meet someone to spend time with. Hang in there you are handsome and seem nice. On chat rooms and e-mails u cant tell anybodys tones or feelings really! And wen you talk to them on the phone you can pretty much tell if its a good thing or a bad thing. This is just my out look on things. I know many more people think different things but thats just how I feel! | |
