I keep searching for a laid back POF get together here in Toronto and no luck. I would love to go to other POF get togethers/parties but they are out of my reach (I travel by subway only when going out/or a cab. I rarely can get a car or get someone to ick me up out of town so I can attend)
I think a huge BBQ, or this years Beerfest, or a Patio Roof Top Party (in a the less crowded areas like Bloor West Village who just had a brand new Furkin pub built last summer that is two floors and one entire floor is outdoors!).
I would certainly help as muh as I can BUT be warned I have no idea how to throw large scale parties.
*** If any of you Torontonians are interested in having a party closer to home let me know as well. If anyone has connections or ides or wants to help please connect with me. If anyone has connections to any DJ's/pubs/bars/parks or recreation area for an outdoor BBQ let me know
***OR if any POF member would be willing to let us use their cottage and over see the party/rules I am sure fellow POF members would help the stranded POF members with a ride to the best BBQ party in history! (PS: I have 2 BBQ's already).
I will need help and if I am alone on this it will go down the drain.
If your from out of the Toronto area and need a place to park or crash - I know a lot of places for free overnight parking and I have two couches and lots of floor space in my cozy/ spacious apartmnet in the Bloor West Village (Just EAST of Etobicoke - very easy highway access).
Lets do this!!!!

by the way, i do know of one outside park that has a firepit and a large grassy area
where people can meet and greet.

Posted: 5/31/2007 2:03:51 PM | OK - I am not an event organizer but I would do what I can to help and it looks like others here are willing to do so as well. Team work!
To be honest with you I have not had the time to organize anything on my own and do not have the space (home/backyard) to do it in.
If you are connected or have space or possible suggestions as to where we can hold an event let's do it.
I am sure there are many Torontonians and GTA POF's that would love a gathering - summer style.
It looks like some of us on this posting are well connected and familiar with holding events with respect to food.
The quesion now is how/where do we start - a meeting with all of us perhaps?
BTW I was ExploreCor - changed my name to Searching4AHeartofGold so it is me who suggested this idea.
