Ok this may be a redundant topic but I decided to post any way. I was turned on to beach body videos by one of my other threads and just wanted to share some of my favorites and invite others to do the same. i now have a large collection of dvd workouts and do believe that some are much better than others for the toning part if that is all you want to do. Here are some of my a few of my favorites until my new ones arrive and I get to check them out:

Tae Bo Basics by Billy Banks

10 Minute Solution Kick Box Boot Camp by Keli Roberts

Hip Hop Abs by Shawn T

Ones that I am waiting on in the mail that were suggested by other POF's are

Yoga Booty Ballet

Turbo Jam

If you choose to get any of these DVD's check ebay instead of going to Beach Body.com. If you keep checking most of the time you can get them cheaper than the web site.

Ok got Yoga Booty Ballet today suggested by Notical Princess and it is a great fun work out. I think it will be my before bed work out because it is so relaxing at the end!

I started using the P90x DVD program and that has been kicking my ass for 3 weeks so far. It is absolutely amazing how much I can feel and even see change in my body. With the workouts and drinking a lot more water I am well on my way. That particular workout regimen is for people who are generally more physically fit already, and even though I wasn't as fit as I should have been to start it, I still did it anyway.

The first few days were a killer and I way over did it and had to quit for a bit and restart. But, I have since began again and staged it down for me... Since then, I have taken off. Hell, I can do one armed push ups now. It has a good mix of strength and cardio workouts... plyometrics, core work, yoga, weight training, basic martial arts, stretching... you name it.

I can pretty much keep up with the super fit people in the DVD sessions and I am definitely sweaty when finished.

I went from from 254 pounds to 264 pounds in 3 weeks... why? I figure it's muscle gain.

I've heard good things about the Carmen Electria fit to strip dvds but haven't tried them myself.

My faves are the Crunch ones - Pilates, boot camp, best arms & abs for a few examples. They are easy to modify to be beginner or advanced, and can be a heluva workout if you do them right.

What did you think of the Hip Hop abs?
I want this but i do not want to buy something i might not use
Once you order from beach body your dvd's should have a 10% discount coupon in them which i am sorry i should have given you the code to one of mine before you ordered.
I have all turbo jam and have lost oh 6 inches from my waist and thighs as well as 15 pounds since Jan
I use to have Pilates but i found i was not flexiable enough and kept pulling muscles in my neck when i had to put my feet above my head (just can't do that one lol)
I also had Tae Bo and well i guess i was punching the air to hard because again i was always pulling muscles
So know i stick to Turbo Jam which i love and my elliptical trainer
By the way did you order the weighted hand gloves? and if so do you like them?

I've never used weighted gloves, but I believe that whenever you add resistance (weight) you increase your gains or losses, as the case may be.

Five,

I love the Hip Hop Abs. I tried the turbo jam the other day but it I did not do the learn the moves part so it was not that great of an experience for me, but i am going to try it again this weekend and learn the moves first. I love the music in hip hop abs so it is great for me. I did not order the weighted gloves I generally do core before I generally do core before I work out. It is exercise DVD on the ball and I can not for the life of me remeber his name. I appreciate the info on the 10% discount but I got all of mine on Ebay I found that if you watch the auctions just right you and keep checking back you can get them cheaper than at Beach Body.

Do try the hip hop abs though and the yoga booty ballet that nocturnal suggested is great too. Go to ebay to get them though they are cheaper and you can even pick which part of your body you really want the DVD to work.

Man, I hope you are not saying you can't be a sexual being just because you have kids in the house... That's kind of bleak.

I also found i did not get the moves on Turba Jam until after the second workout, but know that i have woohoo talk about sweating. When i ordered my Turbo Jam from Beachbody, i was able to select the dvd's that i had wanted and the one's i did not. Also they have the Wowy. com to log onto for your progree and actually i think it is funny if you want any other information from them on eatting, recipes etc the want you to pay to be a member (which i am not willing to do).I looked for the Hip Hop Abs on Ebay a week or two ago and did not see them. I'll have to check it out again.
Best of luck in your workouts i hope they work well for you.

Thanks five I will keep that in mind. I had to look for a few days before I found hip hop for a cheaper price than on beach body but I did eventually. You do get the wowy support on some of them. Did I mention I am an ebay addict? LOL! Anyway the hip hop abs was harder to find than the other ones. I do think that you would enjoy the Yoga Booty Ballet too that nocturnal suggested. It is pretty upbeat as well and I love the relaxation at the end of it. Great before bed exercise. Good Luck to you as well and let me know what you thought about the HHA when you get it. If I ever get done with spring cleaning I am going to get back to working out but spring cleaning at my house is an amazing workout all in itself. Now that I am really thinking about what you said about the 10% off you will get HHA on beach body cheaper not sure why that just hit me but you will not find it on ebay for what you will get it for with 10% off. Have a great day!

I am a HUGE fan of BeachBody tapes!

Ones I own are:
Hip Hop Abs
Slim in 6
Power 90 series

I love HipHop Abs;think Slim in 6 is okay but not great;and have not done much with the Power 90 tapes yet but have had a friend who had amazing results!

I also have the entire bellydancing series by the two twins ( forget their names)- okay; Boxing workout by Kathy Smith- excellent; Project You Core/Fle xYoga Flex by Kathy Smith- not tried yet; Callanetics- excellent.

Let me know how the Turbo Jam is. Also has anyone tried the Power 90 Extreme series?

How do you get the discounts?

when you order from beachbody there should be coupon codes inside with the dvd's if you do not have any and are ordering then message me on my profile and i will give you one of mine.
Turbo i love now that i actually have the moves down, it will take a few tries before you get it right.
Turbo Jam i have the Ab Jam, Lower body, 3T, 4 Cardio, Fat burner (which is a 20 minute high impact )when you do not have the time to do a longer workout.

Right now the DVD I have is Fitness Kickboxing by Stacy Cronin, I'm going to try it out this week. It looks great, can't wait to try it. Most of the other DVDs, I have is for training in the Art/Sport of Taekwondo, like doing forms or getting ready for a tournaments. I'm also looking forward to getting the other workouts like Tae Bo, P90X & Turbo Jam. I know I have to mix my workouts or I'll get bored.

I just bought a Bosu ball, and it came with a couple of good work out DVDs. I've enjoyed the DVD's, and know that my balance is already improving. Plus, I have fun with the Bosu ball.
