| Between B.C. and A.D. ??? Posted: 4/11/2007 11:04:53 PM | BC generally stands for before Christ correct, and AD stands for after death (or close to).
So what do we call the time between Jesus's birth and death, those 33 or so years?
between 1 bc and 1 ad is an aproximate 35 yr gap.

| Between B.C. and A.D. ??? Posted: 4/11/2007 11:22:44 PM | A.D. stands for anno Domini, Latin for "in the year of our Lord." Though it's probably a little off in the actual dates, there is no time between B.C. and A.D., since A.D. doesn't stand for "after death." The baby Jesus was allegedly born in the year of our Lord 1 AD.
A quick Google or Wiki search would have turned this up for you, though I do like pointing out the obvious, like in 2007 years, no one before you thought to give this period a name if it existed?

| Between B.C. and A.D. ??? Posted: 4/11/2007 11:23:19 PM | It's a common misconception that A.D. stands for After Death. It doesn't.
Anno Domini, abbreviated as AD, defines an epoch based on the traditionally reckoned year of the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth.
B.C. is Before Christ, A.D. is the day of his birth, and the following.

| Between B.C. and A.D. ??? Posted: 4/11/2007 11:25:46 PM | | I filled in details with it, but I already knew the meaning. I'm a sponge for utterly useless knowledge, useless since Jesus doesn't exist, basing the calendar on his birth is totally arbitrary. | |

| Between B.C. and A.D. ??? Posted: 4/12/2007 7:34:51 AM | Did you people immediately skip over the posts between the first and your own? Do you type just to hear yourself talk? The one above this is just wrong, and another one just said what the second post said.
And people wonder why I post less around here.

| Between B.C. and A.D. ??? Posted: 4/12/2007 8:06:42 AM | Hey Vain you make a valid point but just to muddy the water a bit, most academic types in an effort to remove all Judeo-Christian references now use the term B.C.E. or Before Common Era.
Either way the actual point of separation in history is rather arbitrary. So for those who would prefer to have a name for the hypothetical era sandwiched between the two I propose P.B.E. the Peanut Butter Era.

b.c.= big con......a.d.= another dummy.
sorry but i discovered the truth long ago.
god did not exist until man said god . so there fore if jesus was the son of god he was never here, it was all a big conspiracy to control the masses. from way way back and continued by the coalition between church and government in our modern times.
