| Charles Smith. Posted: 4/20/2007 2:05:44 AM | A review of discredited pathologist Charles Smith has found he made errors in 20 child autopsies. Of those 13 resulted in criminal charges where none should have been laid. To make matters worse this is after a review of only 45 cases this clown handled and does not reach back to the start of his "career". There is a full decade of this mans error riddled career that has not even been given a second glance. Sounds like we could all be on the hook for alot of compensation claims, a number of people have had their lives turned upside down for no good reason. Yet this man has relocated west and isn't currently incarcerated. If this isn't criminal negligence what is? | |

One of the wrongly charged was my neighbour and given her history I hate to admit it but she was guilty in my mind too, until the rest of the facts came to light.

I think Dr Evil has some mental issues and it's time to hang up his coat.

Same thing happend in the USA....cases are re-opened and it's EXTREMELY expensive. This Dr just cost us MILLIONS of tax payer dollars. He needs to be held accountable or others like him will think they can get away with it.

Perhaps he felt that kids needed protection from adults and this clouded his judgment? Perhaps he perceived abuse everywhere and this clouded his judgment? Just a thought...

| Charles Smith. Posted: 4/24/2007 9:50:07 PM | Just an update. A woman in Ontario plea bargained (infanticide, 1 year served)because this clowns "evidence" was so damning. All the while denying that she was guilty. Charles Smith "mistook" a bone suture in the skull for a fracture........ Anyone that has taken skeletal structure in first year university is likely able to tell the difference. Upon further examination, not only did the pathologist find no skull fractures, he/she found no eveidence of compression about the neck, the only evident hemmorhaging found was casued byt the original pathologists scalpel ...............
And just think BC jas a case still before the courts with this man's findings as "evidence".
