| Anime Posted: 4/25/2005 6:43:04 PM | State your favorite anime episodes and character right here and WHY:
Starting with me - my favorite anime of all time is Evangelion. It may not have the best anime pictures, but its storyline is really deep. I really enjoyed watching some of its episodes about the character's past, what was going on in their heads, as well as the evangelions and their battles against angels. Favorite character would be Rukawa from slam dunk...his very presence will teach even the most unemotional, manly chick to drool...enough said *drools*

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/26/2005 2:16:16 PM | hmmmmm Fav series has to be Cowboy Bebop. love it. it may not have been as well written as Eva, but it had alot of style and was one of the most orignal things i've seen in a long time.
Fave charcter, mmmmm, probably Vash the Stampeed. the mosty deadly man around, and a total idoit at the same time. ah Vash, how we love thee

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/27/2005 2:27:57 PM | | Lol, I love Vash too! Too bad I only have episode 1 to 3 and don't know what's going to happen beyond 3... | |

I love the prospect of the anti hero. He is so out of control but always goes after the "bad" guys :D
It was one of the first anime movies i had ever seen and its still a favourite

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/28/2005 12:49:42 AM | | Sweet! Excellent choice for a fav ... One of my many favourites would have to be Doomed Megalopolis. In a time when the only anime I could get was from my friends in Japan, this was definitely at the top. Memorable character from it would be Kato ... also up there (since I just saw it) would be Batou from Ghost In The Shell - Innocence. Fantastic storyline and amazing animation. I have always enjoyed the inward reflections made by the characters ... the question of existence from a synthetic being allows for very insightful interpretations on our own existence. | |

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/28/2005 7:46:38 AM | | Actually I thought the first Ghost In the Shell movie was much better. Haven't seen the series thou...that might be cool to view. | |

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/28/2005 4:35:09 PM | | Hellsing!! The whole thing!!! What an amazing series! | |
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 4/29/2005 6:45:25 AM | | Did like the Ghost in the Shell moives as mutch as the series, but Batou still kicks ass! | |

|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/2/2005 6:48:38 PM | I've never liked Dragon Ball Z...same tired battle scene after battle scene. But hey that's my personal pref on the matter.
Macross Plus still holds up as does the original series. Loved that show.
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/3/2005 1:17:34 PM | | Dragon Ball, the only series where the charaters act constsapated for 3 ****ing episodes. yeah, that's some real quality entertainment. anyone else here seen Gungrave? | |
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 1:54:02 AM | So much anime...Too many favorites. So lets go with....X/1999, FullMetal Alchemist and RahXephon.
Favorite character of all time is definetly Edward Elric.
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 12:20:00 PM | My favorite anime has got to be Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind. I saw the english dubed version when I was a kid and have loved it ever since. I was so happy when they re-released it because I had not been able to find a copy in years.
My favorite character from a series is Ed from cowboy bebop.
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 12:45:48 PM | After reading the Trigun manga, my favorite anime/character now changed to Trigun/Vash. I thought the whole show was about a blond, happy go lucky idiot...I was deeply surprised when I found out there was more to Vash than meets the eye.
Can anyone tell me where to go for the rest of the manga? I finished vol. 3, but it didn't look like the story ended because I didn't really get the ending...did vash died with his twin brother in the end?
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 1:02:54 PM | | At the end of the anime he lives. Not sure about the manga though..... | |
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 4:57:13 PM | I loved Galaxy Express 999 ... And Patlabor.... And Chobits... And i've never watched Weiss... but i've been reading fanfics. Really well written ones. Ok, I've seen a lot more than this list, but that was just a few.
Has anyone here ever seen 'Wonderful Days' ? It may be Korean, but it's really well done.. Awesome :)
And going outside of Anime.. I'm a big sucker for Battle Royale. Nothing like well-done and senseless bloodshed. And the novel was superb..I have a copy.
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 5:58:23 PM | Ceres: Celestial Legend...awesome anime series!...... | |
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/5/2005 6:56:40 PM | | I know Wolfwood died, which was a major bumer. but i'm not sure about Vash. there are only three volumes of Trigun Maximum, so odds are you won't find anymore. | |

|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/6/2005 8:56:09 PM | Bebop, yet more proof, that anime is an art form. damn i love that show, and Spike wins the awards for best death ever.
"See ya Space Cowboy......"
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/7/2005 7:51:49 PM | | Ceres is one of my favorites too...though a lot of scenes are a little too mushy for my tastes... | |
|
| Anime Fans Posted: 5/7/2005 7:56:34 PM | What, spike died in the end!? I only got to watch the first few episodes, and I met Julia and Viscious so I know that the whole show isn't all about bounty hunting. It was hard to get into it at first since the quality of the animation (especially the characters) isn't as well drawn as, say, Ceres. And the story plot hasn't shown its depth in the first few episodes. But since everyone thinks it's great, I'll try downloading the entire thing.
P.S does anybody know a character like Vash in any of the animes you've watched? I think his split-personality - the combo of idiocracy and tragic-hero-type seriousness hidden underneath - is way too cool...most original thing I've ever seen.
