| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 8:07:38 AM | With all the concerts comming this summer I look back and think of all the concerts I been to. My best memories is of the Stones in Buffalo .
George Thoregood opened up , the rain was comming down , Then Journey came on and the rain stopped .......When the Stones came on it was sunny whithout a single cloud in the sky. 60.000 screaming fans on their feet the whole time. What is your favorite concert?

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 8:25:14 AM | | Reba MacIntire knows how to put on a show. I've seen her in concert twice and she is amazing. The first time I saw her was shortly after her band died in the plane crash. Near the end of the concert she sang Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams" a capella. It still gives me chills thinking about it. Her voice was so clear and pure; I'm sure there weren't too many dry eyes that night. | |

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 8:34:55 AM | I have two... Ok.... No laughing at the first one...
In 1990 or so.... Not a big fan, but a free ticket was in order, so off I went....
ALICE COOPER.
His stage antics were truly amazing, and VERY entertaining.
For the most touching, emotional concert though?? Hands down, it was U2!!

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 8:50:03 AM | From seeing Metallica play in a club in Toronto, from Classic Bands, to the Trans Siberian Orchestra... So many good shows... However the one which will always stand out in my mind for obvious reasons was Woodstock '99. You just could not compare the events that would unfold, riots (which were scary at the time), Seeing some bands that no longer exist, some fresh upcomming bands that would later become incredible... Drinking Canadian Beer and the Canadian Flag waving proudly in the air.... So many incredible moments, So many extreme high points and the off low point... You just had to be there to experience it. | |

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 8:53:29 AM | My favorite concert was Motley Crue in April 2005. I was on the floor, 6th row. It was awesome! I wasn't allowed to see them growing up as a teen....so it was great to finally see them.
I also really enjoyed Marilyn Manson, Hole and Monster Magnet in '99 in Vancouver. Manson is a great show man and the problems between Manson and Love were quite comical!
One final one, was Lollapalooza in '94. Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boy....enough said. It was a great all day show!

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 9:04:10 AM | yes cuteblond kids concerts can at times be worse then sitting in a dentist chair but you got to love their little hearts for trying their all.
Just a note about this thread......who did I pee-off that 3 people have all ready voted to delete this thread citing "chat topic" as the reason?
I still have all my concert stubs and hard to imagine that the stones were only $7.50 back then lol

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 9:29:18 AM | WOODSTOCK 99 BABY!!!!!!!!!!!
Other then that I really enjoyed Kiss when they did they supposed final tour back in the late 90's. The pyro was crazy and it's amazing to see 4 guys all over 50 move like they do on stage like that. Bet Backstreet Boys and Nsyc, Britney won't be moving like that when they're 50...lol

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 10:10:00 AM | | I'd have to say "Willy Nelson" here in Edmonton was the best show I've seen. Not my kind of music, but wow was it fun! I was 4 rows from the stage. | |
|
| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 10:37:37 AM | Metallica "And justice for all" in '89 I believe.. awesome!! Every time I hear "For whom the bell tolls" it takes me right back..
But so was Judas Priest- Painkiller, ACDC- razor's edge and Ozzy in '96

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 10:44:20 AM | Best concert ever was out at Race City speedway, years ago. Can't remember the name of the tour. But many bands played. Great times man, great times | |

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 11:22:07 AM | I've been to tons of concerts but best ever, hands down was Alice Cooper's trash tour. We left there covered in fake blood, baby powder and confetti he put on an amazing stage show with fake decapatation and the whole nine yards. Not my normal thing but he was great. | |

Van Halen in Winnipeg years ago. Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Judas Priest..all in the Peg years ago. | What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 12:26:47 PM | Definitely the Grateful Dead in Vegas in 1994.
The shows spanned three sun filled summery days and STING of all people, opened up for The Dead all three days.
Lots of dancing, smiles, scantly clad females and INCREDIBLE music, changed the way I look at concerts forever.

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 2:45:53 PM | This is an easy one. Definitely Garbage in '05 at the former Red's in Edmonton. I was standing 5 feet away from the goddess Shirley Manson the entire time.
Another fave was long ago in Red Deer when I saw Kim Mitchell. I'm not a big fan of his but it was pretty fun getting the hi-5 from him a bunch of times when he sang "I Am a Wild Party".

| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 3:06:47 PM | Wow.. there have been a lot of them.
When I was in my late teens Edmonton used to have a different band every night during Klondike Days. We tried to go to as many as we could afford. I saw Chicago.. Pink Floyd.. Supertramp.. too many to remember.
The Who's FIRST farewell concert in Seattle in '82. David Bowie and Peter Gabriel (my fave) at Commonwealth Stadium. Alice Cooper is always fun... the first concert I ever went to in '73 I believe.. he was also the last concert I was at last year in Red Deer..LOL
But I think my most favourite concert was the Barenaked Ladies back before they got famous. They played a tiny little wood building in Red Deer near the High School that held 300 people.. can't even remember the name of it. We were in the third row. Steve Page was even more of a madman back then. We were getting hit by drops of his sweat as he leapt about the stage.... man, that was an awesome show!
|
| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 4:05:57 PM | It was in 89 or 90 that I saw Iggy Pop at the Dinwoodie Lounge. That show rocked!
Other shows I'd like to see before I die.... Fugazi and Killing Joke
|
| What is the Best Concert you ever saw. Posted: 4/26/2007 4:20:37 PM | Garth Brooks in 1994, on acid, of all things. But man, could the guy put on a show back then and for $35. Tim McGraw after that, when he first hooked up with that blonde beauty, Faith Hill.
The gift of my life in 2007 and I are going to Reba in July. And what's with this Kenny Chesney charging over $100, Timberlake and Bon Jovi?
