Actually the Word for people who Want to Post and Display pictures of themselves naked and doing things would be;
Exhibitionist!
A Voyeur is someone who likes to Watch... The people apollo is talking about like to Show Off...

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 4:49:34 AM | Thats something that would be interesting to try, but would have to find someone who could relax me enough to allow pics to be taken ... | |
|
| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 5:09:04 AM | because they can share their pics on the internet. Many people you meet on line you'll probably never meet in person. I think we all have a certain amount of exhibitionism in us and its exciting to show your body off to a perfect stranger.
I have a few hundred pics that I have taken with my camera and I don't have to go through the expense and the problem of finding someone to develope them for me. Life is so much better now.
|
| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 7:31:01 AM | Although I'm looking for someone to take these pics I never said anything about sharing them.. not with the general public anyway.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I'm only a flirt on POF, just a harmless flirt.
|
| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 7:43:03 AM | | ^^^^ I understand you Katelynn. Not everyone is or can be comfortable sharing their nude pics with everyone or in some cases anyone. For me I have no problem sharing mine but I know my gf would have a problem sharing hers. | |
|
| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 8:04:36 AM | I also think there is a certain [r]evolution going on because of the large amount of easily accessible voyeuristic websites.
A friend of mine [yes really!] has some body issues with the way she looked.
Now many husbands have tries [and failed] to say "I love you anyway" or "I like the way you look... now can we please turn the light on???]
I gave her the link to a voyeur / amateur pic-posting website ... and she returned from it feeling somewhat better, empowered about her own self and an ability to feel ok with the way she looks.
More importantly when she saw that many people give plenty of compliments to posted pictures of women that wouldn't rate high on the cosmopolitan-scale [who loves grey stick figures anyway?] she gained an understanding that it is not the way you look, but the way you feel [and dare to be looked at...]
For myself: the exitement comes from the eyes and the smile of the lady.. that says: I like this!

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 9:20:48 AM | It is dammed difficult to take pictures of oneself....to be a designer, model, photographer, etc....is a lot of work to take a good naked pic...

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 4/26/2005 9:56:35 AM | In general, I find that when put on display to the general public or complete strangers... excessively provocative pictures only succeed in making a person look trashy. I would be lying if I said such pictures didn't make me look twice... but there are definitely better ways for a person to draw attention to one's self. On a few occasions, I have recieved emails from strangers that had nudy pictures attatched to them. It can be nice to look at, but the kind of person who sends nude pictures of himself/herself to complete strangers... isn't really the kind of person I would consider to be marriage matereal lol. I can't say that I have ever recieved a nude pic from someone with whom I was aquainted... but I suppose my opinion would be different under those circumstances. I wouldn't view it as being trashy if it was a "for your eyes only" type of thing. However, I don't think I personally would ever feel comfortable taking pictures like that of myself. I would probably screw up and accidently mail them to my grandmother instead of the intended party lol.
So basicly, my thoughts on the subject are as follows: Nude pics from a stranger=bad.... Nude pics from a friend intended to tease=good(given that it's a "for your eyes only" thing). In certain situations, it could be a really fun thing. For example, if a couple is forced to be apart after having been together for a while. If I was shipped overseas for a business trip etc, and my significant other sent me some provacative photos saying something like "this will be waiting for you when you get home baby".... then I would be scurrying to schedule an earlier flight back lol.

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 6/2/2005 10:04:17 PM | Thats cool you want to show your confidence but a quick question.
From one photographer to another. Don't you have a circle of friends /photographers that can help you out ?
If I was going to ask someone I would like it be someone that wants to try to do something creative and not just point and shoot. ...*waits for the laugh for the pun*
To take a picture of someone is easy. To make them look flattering is another. And being in the nude adds that extra pressure to make someone look good.
*oh have I tried, taking pictures of people one thing I am not even close to mastering*
But as of showing the picture to a stranger that depends. In a "gallery" settings or a controlled artistic website:sure. To a site where images can be taken out of context : no.

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 11/1/2005 11:16:56 PM | | The best way to start out in this field is with a partner. Ideally a female photographer with a female assistant. The key to successful shoots is having the subject AND the artist feeling confident, safe and most of all...comfortable. The team approach shows professionalism and respect for the subject's feelings and not to mention respect for the type photography you are doing. If any amateurs are interested, I have several basic photography and technique books from my personal collection that I could recommend to get you started. I would welcome the opportunity to talk shop with any pro's or aspiring amateurs on any subject in photography. Take care! - TheShadowCatcher in SoCal (P.S. Does anyone out there know what the term "Shadow Catcher" means and where it originated? How about a free nude photo session to the first person that answers correctly?...NOT!!! Sorry, I could not resist throwing in a bit of humor!) | |

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 11/2/2005 6:49:28 AM | | Any females in northwest Florida wanting such pics, email me. My SO can chaperone or you can bring someone along if you like. I'm an advanced hobbyist photographer and have sold a few pieces, but mostly just enjoy photography - and the female form. | |

| Nude Digital Photography Posted: 8/19/2009 3:25:47 PM | | As a photographer who has done nude sessions, most people are asking for tasteful nudes. The problem lies in the difficulty in finding a photographer who has the skill and ethics to take the kind of photos people want. There are a million lonely guys with cameras who will take pictures that satisfy THEM and not their subjects. My suggestion, if you want photographs of this kind, find a pro with good references. | |
