Posted: 4/28/2007 8:33:46 PM | | We as people in these dating game all know that dating is gambling. But some of us take these dating thing too seriously. I know because I've read many remarks saying they were hurt or they have a hard time finding "The One." Just like gambling, we only have ourselves to blame. True, luck and timing may play a small part. But most of the blame is on you. Think about it! Good or bad, you and I are letting the other person effect us. Maybe you are giving too much of yourself too early, maybe we have too much or too high of an expectations, maybe you have too much trust, maybe you are a bit naive, maybe you fall inlove too easy, and/or maybe you get too impatient and rush things. All those "maybes" are like the wagers in gambling, you never know what you are going to get back. And just like gambling, a few of us win right away. But most of us lose the first few times we try. A few of us of us never win. To all you lonely hearts and broken hearted, hope is a good thing. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again . And last but not least, don't give up the booty(unless you don't care) until you know he or she is "The One." Mahalo! | |

It is that way in all States, we all need to "dumb" down just a mite and enjoy just being with great company. I have gone out on a few platonic dates and had a great time. Gives you time to.......................practice....................for the real thing.
Just my observation, since some of what you implied in your original post, applies to me. Just being honest!

Ireally feel you haves to have some feel for each other by having e-mails .... your not limited to just one ,..get two or three interested prospects going,..until one clicks.....
Also ,... you both are very different people...do`nt expect the other person to be that perfect... they cany possibly fit into YoUR exact MOLD .....
Thats what is nice about meeting someone thats different,...you can both learn from each other..... All done through a bunch of e-mails first !!!.....
I was e-mailing some one and soon found out the other person was far toooo controling ...and we were only e-mailing.... So thats the beauty of talk first and play later...

Posted: 10/28/2007 1:41:44 PM | It's always good to hear other peoples viewpoints. I think that somewhere, somehow, people got into the game to only get THE prize. We really do need to learn to enjoy being in our own skin. Then, we can enjoy the company of other people. Quite frankly, dating should indeed be a fun gambling experience. Because - after people settle down with the ONE - the fun seems to diminish way to quickly. So, I say - enjoy the gambling experience - don't take yourself toooo seriously. And of course be safe - Mentally, physically and spiritually! Don't jump off a bridge without some kind of safty gear. But dang it - have fun!
