how did Gary Ablett get away, with having an ALLEDGED "hooker/junkie" die in his motel room?? ...he waz all class...not alledgedly!
how does Wayne Carey get a job in the media after Allegedly "doing his his best mates wife in their toilet?? foxtel is.........allegedly shameless...
and of Ben Cousins? how does someone of his prominance get away with, allegedly running away from an RBT without being properly disciplined by his club?

Posted: 5/1/2007 5:50:14 PM | if i remember correctly it was london not ireland where the first rape took place.... i remember it as it involved the brisbane lions....and i remember seeing all the young guys in the team stressing out over it all and my sister asking them when they would go into work whats going on and they said we cant comment on it.
i think Adam Goodes got let off on the adelaide rape.... leaving Michael O'lauchlan (swan) and Peter Burgoyne (port ).... now there was a 3rd person that was involved in the adelaide rape and that was Adam Heuskes (swan, lions,port).... yes there is a pattern forming.... Heuskes was in london of the first rape... he left brisbane and went back to adelaide where he went and played for port to where he is still living.... but no longer playing.. last i heard he went into a local team or he was coaching.... anyways....

however it never surprised me when i found out the news... when i first heard of the london one i automatically thought of hueskes as i did know what he was like....i did use to drink with him and i did see alot of his ways.... he had told me once.... my c0ck would look great in between your titts...i told him to fuk off as he had a girlfriend.... i also remember him asking a girl to take off her clothes in the middle of the pub he co- owned and in return he would let the girl wear his clothes.... they swapped clothes and he paraded around like king tuck.... he also would give free drinks to the females too.... i did see alot of nasty stuff going on in that pub.... some of it was even done to other players that didnt perform to their best on the field...
when i found out about the 2nd one... hueskes came straight to my mind again and thought he was up to his old tricks again.
for ablett.... i dont know... he did go thru alot of hell from the public over it.... he also wasnt in the right frame of mind when the event took place.... i dont think he was even playing then.... but he would have gotten off for some technicality
carey.... well he has always been a bit of a slime ball in my opinion.... how he got a job in the media??? he played for australia.... thats pretty much how any sportsman or woman get a job in the media these days.
as for ben cousins.... well i can tell ya he is gay.... a friend many years ago when he was just a rookie started talking to him.... he thought she was cracking onto him... as he had come to her house for a party she was throwing and they had a mutual friend....anyways.... she let him with his ego and later that night she saw him getting it on and groping this other guy..... so maybe the drugs he has been taking is so he can live in denial of who he really is...... but i think he should get at least a 3 years off for all the shit he has done and gotten away with.... or 1 year for every year he has been doing drugs... and an extra year for each police arrests and reports.... but i could have smacked him on when i saw him on tv the other night at the airport.... c0cky little shit he is.... i honestly hope that he will never be able to play again. | |

we, as sports fans, praise these people and use them as role models for our children. they become invincible and therefore think they can get away with blue murder.
these people need to be taught a lesson when they break laws, sack them!! dont give them a suspension, or time out or whatever. sack them from their meal ticket.
they are no longer role models for australia or our children, they are law breakers.
i cant comment on any of the players you have mentioned as i dont know much about their stories, but having met ben cousins when i was living in perth i can comment on his story.
sorry nunthewiser, ben isnt gay he is however bi-curious. but yes he is a c0cky little shite that needs to be bought down a knotch or three. his drug problems stem back to his younger days and his involvement with some of perths drug/bikie cartel isnt something you want your kids recognising. his lack of responsiblity for his actions shows that this man is not a role model at all.
i will say this however, im not a huge afl watcher but arent the eagles doing well without their star ben? just goes to show he wasnt that great really.
sack him and any other neanderthal who thinks they are above the law, treat them the same as every other person will be treated for the crimes they commit. see how great they feel then!! | |

Its shocking how far we have allowed sporting people to get on this one. And we still ****foot around with them as well. Its been over a year since the Ben Cousins thing, and they still havent implemented a "one strike and youre out" policy on sporting people. The minute anyone gets a sniff of a drug scandel, the people in charge need to get into fast and sack anyone who is remotely involved with the incident.
After all, these people are role models for our kiddies. Our kiddies look up to these people as if they were their parents or something.
And the thing that gets to me is that we are only making the whole problem worse by not dealing with it firmly now... | |

In Victoria today Carey was yet again front page new as details of the recorded interview were leaked. By all accounts Carey was not in the least bit remorseful nor apologetic about the assault on the woman outside a Melbourne niteclub a few years ago which he was convicted of and he was forced to apologise to her by the North Melbourne Football Club.
Apparently he was not too upset about his former infidelities against his ex wife and also his old mate Anthony Stevens.......Carey a classic Narcissist, a shame cause in his day he was a hell of a footballer....now a drinker, drugger - admits to being a huge cocaine abuser and definately has anger management issues........a huge rating winner for the ABC though | |

No one and I mean NO ONE else in Australian society would be able to get themselves out of charges like these footballers seem to do. It's a blight on our society. I'm sure people overseas have a respect for our legal system but these footballers make a mockery of it. And why is it that footballers are a special breed? ...so seemingly different from every other Australian citizen?

I'm sorry....but girls throw themselves at these blokes - not because they are sweet, or romantic, or handsome - but because they are famous. Same as anyone playing lead guitar in a band - they can be as ugly as a hat full fo arseholes, and there will still be girls hanging around at the end of the gig, hoping. It's called a trophy f-uck.
These guys are not anything other than footballers. That's it. They are not brain surgeons.

rape is rape regardless of ones income and position. they should ba charged and face the same penalty as any other offender for the same crime.

these guys had the money to end the issue quickly instead of it dragging out in the prosucutions department and some hearing only to get charges dropped threw "my word against yours" type scenario that is all to familar.
its not uniquely an afl thing, it happens every where that the accused has money in all sorts of cases and crimes.
read some stastistics awhile back that were shocking for rapes actually reported compared to those that actually happened and even more shocking were the stastistics on the ones convicted. | |

Look at that Kane Johnson who pee'd on the police station....and then he has the nerve to say " sorry folks" and then give himself a week off work and think its all ok!!
And this guy is the captain of the richmond football club!!... and he says "i think i might take this week off to punish myself"..
he should have been sacked!!
i think all of us here who are fathers can see the sheer impossibility to trying to get our sons to act responsibly when these footballers are doing all these criminal acts. If the AFL doesnt act on these guys, then the government should make it mandatory that these guys are sacked when there's even a hint that they've done something wrong..

ive seen quite clearly what goes on at pubs and parties and just generally when people drink,saw it from a unique perspective
quite shocking
if we are to introduce what you say we'd be discriminating against footballers if we dont introduce the same penalties for everyone
at the end of the day they are human and behave badly in no more greater numbers than any other section of the community.
fair enough our kids look up to them but what about movie stars,priests,politicians and even are kids teachers?
there behaviors is quite shocking as well. | |

Those guys in the rape cases should have been sacked then and they probably should be sacked even now. That would put an end to the smirks around the place about they got off by paying their blood money...
And tlc, I'm not sure what youre saying about giving these footballers an even break. These guys know what they're getting into before they are drafted. We need to act decisively, if there's even a hint of criminal activity....whether it be drinking or rape or whatever..
Its too important to just roll your eyes and talk about rumours etc etc..... the guys need to be sacked and replaced with people who can do the right thing.. | |
