| How come quebec . . . .` Posted: 4/26/2005 1:36:00 PM | How come quebec has the least activity in their forums ?
Are we antisocial or something ?
Why are there no people joining this site? Seems like it's been a month since I've seen a new face.

| How come quebec . . . .` Posted: 5/9/2005 1:38:41 PM | HI,
I am from quebec, a little older but up to date. I think people from Quebec feel left out of just about everything, or not allowed to participate because we're apparently morons, and here I am thinking that the Mor_ons were from another country. I guess I'm not well informed. To all. You make your own place and let the rest vegetate with what they've got. Nice to be a Quebecian. Let do it

| How come quebec . . . .` Posted: 5/14/2005 8:14:02 PM | | What are you talking about women. I have lived all my life in Quebec. I don't feel left out. I think that Quebec people should be happy that they are a part of Canada. What would they be without? A part of the USA. Maybe I have misread your reply, but I thing we are perceived as morons because everyone thinks that because we live in Quebec we want to separate. | |

| How come quebec . . . .` Posted: 9/6/2005 7:21:03 PM | Because there are more francophones in Quebec who don't necessarily have the patience and/or ability to post in English on POF?
Mais j'invite les francophones sur POF de postuler en francais;) And please excuse my French;)

| C,est une bonne idée ça Posted: 11/19/2005 9:02:59 AM | My thoughts on it is. well that its pretty much a dead site. no one makes contact with the other. I believe there may be many memberslisted but none are active. that once they joined they just never check into the site... I used to check in once twice aday to see if I had any mail.......but rarely did.I sent out over 1 hundred e-mails . with little or no replies back. so Why bother even checking in .If no o ne is going to bother repling back or sending out mail.after all it is suppose to be a dating site...So if i'm not checking in for mail i'm certainly not checking in at the forum either....so that in a nutshell is why there is little going on in the montreal forum. since no one else is bothering.very very few active members....... the site itself should do a clean-up and get rid of the dead weights.the members that are inactive.... | |

| C,est une bonne idée ça Posted: 11/22/2005 1:56:58 PM | | well I must say this other post genarated 3 e-mails to me not that that was the purpose of the post"..So yes i replied to them.and guess what.......what a joke i can tell they were read but not a single reply came back to me. now is that poor-manners or not...this site is for the birds!!! | |

| C,est une bonne idée ça Posted: 11/23/2005 6:17:17 PM | I may not be from Quebec.. but that might actually be a good thing here... I read a few posts back that there was some question about why Quebec feels left out... Personally, I am guilty of "leaving out" the Quebec folk - I'm not bilingual, and growing up more than a few hours from the Quebec-Ontario boarder, I had absolutely NO clue how many Quebec residents spoke english. We all (being everyone I knew, teachers included) believed Quebec was full of pure francophones who spoke not a word or english (or enough to tell us English folk to go away). It's a harsh reality that much of the english speaking country knows so little about Quebec. I'm glad I moved closer to Quebec.. nice province and all.. and friendly people.. And now that I live closer to Quebec, I am trying to learn my French better (since I can actually see the use for it. LOL)
Don't feel too left out.. it's not all bad :)

OMG ok i hate myself for forgetting my french. I went to french school my whole life. sheahs I lived in Gatineau and Hull for years and Ottawa. HTH can i start losing it. Wait i know, living towards the southern ontario board will do it to ya.
Sigh.
BTW look at the "Ontario" threads. I highly doubt this POF thing is all B.C. Looks more Ontario to me (With help from Quebec). I love My Quebecor's :) Je t'aime m'est ami. (Je pense je sais comment spell(omg my french sucks).

| C,est une bonne idée ça Posted: 11/25/2005 7:02:25 AM | Froggy... your french is better written than mine would be. I can speak my fair share.. but that is not much... Never lived in Quebec, never really paid much attention to the language.. and when I dated a gal who was bilingual, she never spoke french at home, and I had already lost alot of what I learned.
Oh well, such is life. I'm workign on it ;)
. Robert
btw: There really doesn't seem to be much activity in the Quebec forums.. sad really....

| C,est une bonne idée ça Posted: 11/25/2005 10:59:11 AM | | I would say that 30%of quebec is english speaking only, with no or little knowledge of french at all...... | |
|
| C,est une bonne idée ça Posted: 11/25/2005 1:25:23 PM | Wow. 30% eh? I never would have guessed. With as much ado as there has been over the years about the english signs in Quebec, I had assumed that more like 90% of the province was French only, and the rest were English converted to French. So I was lame ;) LOL I should reconsider moving to Quebec.. I wonder (aside from switching my licence and such) howmuch work it would be ;) LOL
Maybe one day, once I have settled down a bit, and am not so undecided about life.
Off to deal with dinner. . Robert

Are you sure about that?? I only lived there for 2 years n 6 months, and my french is fluent except i have a morrocan accent. but Ive only met like 10 people in 2 years that didnt at least get along in french. Alot of them know english also, but speak french pretty well. And that was in montreal, the rest of the province is supposed to be even more french!!
oh yeah my new french words are reessayez s.v.p. dam tim hortons!!!
