One of my favorite sandwiches !

Pepperidge Farm Oatmeal bread
Mayo
Sliced Cheddar cheese
Avocado sliced
Cucumber sliced
Mushrooms sliced
Alfalfa sprouts

Spread the mayo on the oatmeal bread, add a slice of cheddar cheese, then the cucumbers and a little salt and pepper to taste ,then the avocado, then the mushrooms and top with alfalfa sprouts.
(you may add more mayo to the other side of the bread if you like mayo)

*** I have added sliced Turkey to this also...

(Cut in half it's a BIG sandwich)
Enjoy! Healthy and Yummy!

***Be sure and add your favorite sandwich too ;-)

That sounds like a sandwich that, when you belch even hours later, you'd still taste it. Healthy? Sure! But I don't know how it would be for your breath!

Another sandwich (kind of--because I use a bagel) that will give you bad breath:

Everything bagel sliced in half
Sliced chicken or turkey
Olive oil and vineger
Baby Spinach
Bannana Peppers or sliced jalapenos (depending on how much heat you can stand)
Any type of cheese you want (I prefer swiss or provolone)
Tomato
Sliced almonds (you can find these in any baking section at the store)
Sliced Red Onion
A little bit of garlic powder and salt and pepper

Sometimes, instead of olive oil and vinegar, I'll use cream cheese; it's not as healthy, but . . .yum.

3 T. of Mayo

1 lg chopped red delicious apple (peel on)

Salt and pepper to taste

Toast wheat bread and add lettuce to sandwich ....mmm mmm

One of my favorite deli's makes a similar sandwich that I love, instead of Mayo, they use Cream Cheese, and no mushrooms. They also add a berry like cranberry or strawberry jam. It's soooooooo yummy! But the early bird gets the Oatmeal bread. If you don't get there in time enough, you have to settle for another bread. So when I have to, I usually get multi-grain. Oh! they also add salami to the turkey, but sometimes I just have turkey.

^^^

MMMMM.....(in my best Homer Simpson voice).....Bacon Lettuce Tomato......

Every time I call in my order, they think I am stuttering worse than normal...

"Hello...Chip's Deli"

"I need to place an order"

"What would you like?"

"A B...B...BLT"

"Okay, a BLT...anything else?"

"No, I want a B...B....BLT"

"OH! Its you again! Why don't you just say 'it's me and I want my usual'"

Good fresh bread....'cept you gotta check in the mirror on some of the seedy types...you know the whole...walk around all afternoon at work with a seed on your front teeth!

Cheers

oh dear oh dear yes BLT"S are great on toasted multigrain bread.

here's a good one I craved when I was pregnant I still like them.

whole grain toast
banana, smashed
peanut butter
and sliced dill pickles with a smidgen of miracle whip

I know it sounds disgusting but its not bad

guess my all time favorite would have to be smoked turkey on whole grain, lettuce, tomato, sprinkle of herbs, a smidgen of miracle whip, on one slice of the toast melt a slice of sharp cheddar under the broiler until golden and bubbly put on rest of sandwich hm good

another good one diced chicken breast, miracle whip, a tbs of ranch mixed salad herbs, a pinch of powdered chicken stock, two eggs chopped ( hard boiled of course)chopped tomato and parsley, mixed all together put on wholegrain, multi grain , or croissant add mixed lettuce greens and alfalfa sprouts or shredded cucumber, chives freshly chopped good stuff

The peanut butter and banana doesn't sound bad, but skip the pickle and mayo..just too much it sounds. That definitely seems it'd be something for when pregnant then. I like graham crackers with very little butter with sliced bananas and cinnamon sprinkled on the butter, haven't had those in a while. That makes a filling snack.

My sandwich.....
Olafson's Mini pita
Hummus on one side, salsa on the other...
Avocado
Tomato (preferably cherry or grape)
Shredded Carrot
Red Onion
Spinach
Alfalfa Sprouts
Red Pepper
Cucumber

A healthy alternative to mayo is an herbed cream cheese that's whipped. Depending on the sandwich you can add things like green onion, parsley, red onion, cilantro, or another leafy green.

Another spread is equal parts of plain yogurt and tahini sauce with chopped parsley and lemon juice to soften.

OK it has bacon, but I eat bacon only 3-4 times a year and this is worth it!

Crispy bacon
Pineapple slices, drained on paper towelling
Sliced cheddar or American cheese
Bread

I said bread, bc you really don't want anything too strong. White, wheat, potatoe or sourdough

Toast bread lightly

Line a cookie sheet with foil
Place 3 bacon sliceson top of each piece of toasted bread
Place a pineapple slice atop the bacon
Top with a slice of cheese

Broil for a few minutes until the cheese melts
Wonderful on a cool day with soup

Bread.. I'm not going to get on anyone about what bread they like. laugh..

Sliced tomatos,
Pepper hummus
Avocado creamed in either mayo or cream cheese (basically you can just mash and add some cream cheese or miracle whip or mayo)
sliced sweet onion
lettuce/or sprouts or baby greens or (you get the idea)
Sliced chicken, pork, turkey

Spread hummus on one slice of bread, avocado mixture on the other slice, fill with tomato, lettuce, onions, I've also added peppers.. I like hot and spicey.

eat.. grin.

Here are a couple sandwiches I really like, not exactly healthy but made with good stuff :)
Grilled tempeh, grilled onions, Russian dressing, and organic sauerkraut on rye.

There is a tofu manufacturer in town I get Age at. Age is a higher fiber tofu prdoct that they deep fry in soybean oil.

So take yer Age dunk in a 50% dilute mixture of bragg's amoni acids and water (soy sauce if you must). Dredge in a mixture of red star nutrtional yeast, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder. Fry in a pan and treat generally like a slice of breaded chicken.

Its probably far from healthy, but my favorite sandwitch is peanut butter + butter on toasted bread.
