| Tall Ships in Halifax, July 2007 Posted: 5/5/2007 6:51:54 AM | I know it is plenty early, but are any there going to be any POF Get Togethers happening around the same time as the Tall Ships being in port in July? I have had a look through the forums, perhaps I missed something...but the mud sliding looked like a hoot!
There are some Alberta POFer's going to be in town then, and we are always looking to meet others! Kidlets will be along, so family friendly events would be welcome!

And what if the person doesn't own a computer? Huh, then what??
OT: I am really going to make an effort to see the tallships this time. I have only ever watched them from afar in previous visits.
edit..Where is the downward facing arrows when I need them...?? hehe Leafs...... I was being ......ummm...errrrr....ya know....a nice smart ass?? ;)

| Tall Ships in Halifax, July 2007 Posted: 5/5/2007 8:43:48 AM | Why bother...we have NSWiseAcre to do it for us...
Edit: Darlena..might want to rethink that computer comment...how did they post???? ;o)
Hahaha....ok, Darlena..;o)

| Tall Ships in Halifax, July 2007 Posted: 5/5/2007 8:49:47 AM | You got her with that point Leafs. Mind you Darlena isn't always a smart ass though...so she gets a bit of grace for mistakes when she does it lol
I love the Tallships. I spent as much time down there as possible when its happening. Best part is always the parade of sails, when they all line up and circle the harbour and leave together..its amazing. Mind you, its never like it was when they had the big event...more than 100 ships, now that was awesome. This is still the biggest tallships gathering this year in the world though..so thats impressive.

I actually found it funny and I also thought it was a comment that someone else could have made without being criticised
And I agree with leafs- obviously they are at a computer since they are posting and most of us know that she does have one

| Tall Ships in Halifax, July 2007 Posted: 5/5/2007 11:29:57 AM | For the benefit of the overly analytical.... My PC is actually down at the moment and I'm painfully working on a laptop with a very annoying touchpad making scooting around the net a pain in the hiney.
The wisecrack did not bother me. As I left the date out I was thinking some anal person will run right out and find it. Getting an anal response back is really no shocker.
The point was to figure out if there was a conflict of dates, not to create one with people.

| Tall Ships in Halifax, July 2007 Posted: 5/6/2007 5:55:07 AM | I love the Tall Ships - I'm very fortunate to work downtown across from the waterfront. Lunch hours in the summer are great, especially when the Tall Ships and the Buskers are in the city. | |

show-off.
seems we are full of smarta$$es and show-offs...
I have yet to see a parade of sail, but this year I do believe I will try to make it. And I can't wait for this year's Tall-ships festival, I love the ships, they are so graceful and majestic looking.
S_V - remind me to show you some pics of the ships that I took at the 2000 festival - amazing (though I am the worlds worst photog.)

| Tall Ships in Halifax, July 2007 Posted: 7/3/2007 9:02:57 AM | The Organizing committee is still looking for volunteers as far as I know, so you might want to mosey on over to the site and volunteer your time to making this the best festival so far.
