I am planning on organizing an paintball event. Where is field location that you would recommend that is not more than an hour from edmonton?

Field locations:
Young Guns Paintball
Urban Paintball
Paintball Action Games

There is a place out by cochrane that I went to years back. I am not sure if its still there. But it was pretty good.

But looking at your profile, after I responded, you are in Edmonton, not Calgary.

But a road-trip could be in order.

What would the estimated cost be? How long is one game? Do you pay less if there is more people or is it the same regardless? What equipment is required? Does the facility provide it or do you bring your own?

PS - I would go if it was held in the Edmonton area, I do not want to travel to Cochrane to play a game of paintball...

i've gone a few times and every place i've gone to provides, guns, helmets and face shields, coveralls, amunition, and everything else you'd need.. most places charge only for the rental of the guns and what ever you use up in paintballs... essentialy you could play for 5 hours for 60 bucks... me being as trigger happy as i am, spent abut 100 in about 6 hours... it IS possible to do it cheap, but once you get out there and start shooting and running around, money seems to be of less importance..

East of Edmonton on hwy 14 at a small town called Ryley. its about 50 minutes from the city and the name is T.A.G Paintball games. Phone number is...1-780-663-2363.

I see the sign every time i go to the city and i believe its a quarter section...(160 acres ) with a castle and a moat and the whole 9 yards. I have never done it but would love to try it for a day....Ice...

A colleague recommended a bullet proof vest. That there is some pain involved. Is this sound advice? Or was he just trying to freak me out?

females are normaly given a chest protection plate... ya there's pain involved, you are getting shot afterall, but it's minimal for the amount of fun you're having... the next day is when you really feel it.. lol

There isnt any pain you wear coveralls and mask.If it does hit you in the skin area its nothing more then a bee sting if you get hit at close range! Cant wait for a paintball event sounds fun and a few people i wouldnt mind shooting on here.lol

As a field operator ... rather former operator in Calgary I can highly recommend Pursuit Action Games in Edmonton... Great fields ... Good management.... Quest for Adventure is another option ...

If you plan on playing in Calgary anytime Call RAMPAGE (403)251 - 5166 .. you wont be sorry ... they simply have the best field indoor and out... all at one # .... Not to mention the cheapest prices ...

Have any other questions .. You can msg me .. I have a Decade of experience with the sport and facilities in the area

Outdoor is waaaaaaaay better then indoor.

Indoor should only be used for Laser Tag type games.

But I am open to anything. I have to travel to Nisku anyway.

Apparently there's a new indoor paintball arena in WEM, I just got this email today...

www.madexistence.com is the website and they do parties. General rates seem to be $30.00 for equipment and 200 paintballs,$10 for each additional 100 balls and you play until you run out....

Maybe there should be a home and away paintball event. One in Edmonton, one in Calgary. Get together a POF team from each city and settle this rivalry!!! At least for the moment. Then, we can drink beer together and laugh at the rest of the country cuz we're Albertans.

Im sure if you talk to all 3 arenas and set things up and figure out a group number then u can get a cheaper rate. Down here we usually spend at most 60$ in an hour

As I quickly looked through the posts, I did not see a date on when this activity will take place. I will most likely miss out on the fun as I will only be in town untill friday, and will be unable to check on the progress of this thread untill I get there.

pew... pew...

Have fun people.
