I did a thread search and didn't see the particular problem I'm having today...I'm trying to add something to my profile and it won't accept it....I press update profile and only the first few words of what I've written shows up...can someone help me please?

Posted: 5/8/2007 10:41:25 AM | Minimum Character Count in the About Me Form Field is 160, maximum around 7,600. You could use a Text Editor such as Microsoft Word to poll the Statistics on Character Count.
Make sure you have no E-Mail Addresses, Weblinks, etc.
Also, do not use the @ Symbol in both the Forums or in your Profile.

Edit Registration ... at the Top of the Page:
You can change your Gender and Birthday within 2 weeks of signing up.
After that it is assumed to be correct and can't be changed.
(Close your Browser. Sometimes a Re-boot wouldn't hurt either.)
* ... make sure your Password is correct.
You can only change the Gender or Birthday within 2 Weeks of Profile Creation.
(To prevent Users by-passing other Peoples Mail Setting Restrictions on the fly.)
Delete your Profile FIRST and create another one!

I go to the registration page and change my country to Canada, but - upon viewing my profile - area/country is not indicated. I noticed that some Canadian profiles do contain country while others don't. I do a lot of international "talk/email". It is important that the person that I am exchanging emails with knows what country I am from. Suggestions? | |

Posted: 7/21/2007 3:12:50 PM | I tried several combinations and the best way to indicate you are from Canada is to indicate it in the city name. In my case Vancouver (Canada) the province will be listed beside the city name so it will display to users like this:

I think it goes to a blue link when there are more then 20 other users with the same city name entered in the system. | |

I do not wish to change my age on the fly - I am 45 not 35
My friends helped me put this in the site and I am tryn to learn. But would prefer if it was correct. I am really 45 could someone correct this for me.
I have ammended profile to tell people my correct age to but feel that it should be corrected in my registration.
Any help here for this??

Just saw your post. Go to "Mail Settings" The first or Gender box has 3 options. Click the pull down menu to change your selection. The options are:
"Anyone"
"Male"

Gender cannot be changed after 14 Days of new Account Creation.
To change it, you have to delete your Profile and create another one.
It cannot be reset.

Posted: 4/21/2008 10:15:18 AM | Your system has my birth year as 1949. I was born in 1951. The information is incorrect and I want it corrected. I have tried several times. Change it or allow me to mak the change or I will delete everything.
