Do you know a lot of tards that use those words or phrases ?
I don't.
I'll let a couple slide, but for the most part they just make me think less of someone. When they use hackneyed, overused pop culture phrases that lack creativity. | |

And yet you think "tards" is creative? I would much prefer a goofy conversation that may have a few words on your list of despised words than ever hear anyone using that word.
Try being more sensitive to those people that are MR (Mentally Retarded). They don't even use such fowl language and they are more intelligent than most people that use such crude unintelligent slang. | |

Silly words and phrases get you riled, but using a term that has caused a group of people a lot of pain, in everyday language, to insult another is okee dokee fine and dandy with you huh?
Thats the one that gets me.. everytime! Having worked one on one with the mentally challenged for more than 5 years, hearing any word or phrase that uses "tard" seems just ignorant, nasty and hateful to me. You never know who might overhear you and innocent people are hurt by these words. Think twice!
I thought this was supposed to be the forum for humor, not a forum for trying to make yourself look superior???

I don't think is so funny but more like a rant and crying about something insignificant. I would love it if the moderaters could make a rants and rave thread section so we would have more of a choice as to read something that bothers someone. How can we make this happen? | |

I was pointing out a word I despise and yet you are ok with it, when your list is of random words that you think are too cliquish, no other reason to "despise" them. But you find nothing wrong with a term that is hurtful to people your not even talking to?
I think it would be more appropriate to use the word "irritate" rather than "despise" since you have such shallow reasons for your list. | |
