kinkycommando: I beg to differ on the hotel owners' names... last time I went to Inverness , one dark sunny day, with backpack strapped to my moped, and hair bouffant under me crash helmet, I tripped up over a chap who was sunbathing in winter woollies (yes, it's that cold). I flung over me handlebars and landed at the step of that hotel mentioned above... ^^

I know I wasn't concussed cos when I came round, with a splitting headache, in the front room of that hotel, I asked the bloke at the Jack and Vera bar
who I was, who he was, I mean. He introduced himself and his parther as Ben and Phil.

That's Ben Doon and Phil McCavity... so there you go!

Camp sites are far cheaper than hotels and in Scotland it is now legal to fly camp in the mountain areas like near Inverness. Camping is better than staying in a hotel.

bit too late stoney to remind tham that camping could be a better alternative to the guest house where they are staying - they're there now!!..

hey.. and you know exactly where!!!

they may have enough dosh to not have to sleep rough for the duration of their hols here - and it IS Inverness you know.. chuffing freezing up there still!!

Its not legal at all stonecastle.

You can walk anywhere with the right to roam but not camp anywhere.. lol
Anyway as I said My mates meeting them tommorow,so all should be well.

and its not that cold with global warming, its still freezing though!

Old saying
420 virgins came down to Inverness,at the end of the weekend there were 420 less!

rsx, as I can't stand the flavour of coffee I believe I can stand the lack of Timmies in my life for 2 weeks. Though, I do love their timbits...that will be a hardship.

met with young Sparky and it was a good night.

Now in Dundee (blinkblink)....it's much bigger than Inverness, I must say. Has a "law".

Tomorrow it's St Andrews....
